2015! Fan Settings (Do not Buy)

I bought this specifically for fan settings. I even called superchips and asked the tech if it would adjust the fan settings. The tech said yes as well as the manual has the option. After install and a new PCM there was no option. A call later and the new tech said NO it does not adjust the fan settings! Now the company I bought this from is saying they will not accept a return. Already had another tuner so $600+ down the drain. Maybe try to sell online? Sounds like they just say what you want to hear so you spend the money.

Not worth the money

if you want something that looks like a GPS and tells you your speed save yourself $550 and go get a GPS. The TD2 required a PCM swap which we did, and instantly our jeep got really buggy. I finally get ready to wheel with it and I find out the sway and tpms options on the programmer only turn the light off, they don't actually disengage anything. All in all save yourself some money and put it in to something that ACTUALLY matters.

I bought the TD2 about a month ago. I wasn't sure if the expense would be worth it. I can say that after programming it to my Jeep, I can say I am averaging about 2-3 miles per gallon more. This is my daily commuter so any gas saved is huge!! I average about 85 miles a day, so for me the 2-3 miles per gallon saved has been fantastic. I can say the money spent was well worth it. Not only that but I had to make several calls to the tech support and those guys were AWESOME as well and the average wait time was less than 5 minutes!!! Now a Superchips customer for life!!! Very satisfied customer.

I am on my second tuner as I crushed my first one in my door.And had to work out getting everything set back up again. Can't recommend this product highly enough, Crawl mode is great for off roading, and performace mode is where I keep mine set.

Nice product but slow to load

I've had this installed for a few months and while it works, there are problems. 1. it is painfully slow to load when I start the Jeep. It takes at least 30 seconds before the display is shown. 2. The touch screen is hit or miss, most of the times it responds to a swipe but many times it doesn't. 3. Finally, and most annoying is that I hooked a backup camera to the video port, however when I put the Jeep in reverse most times I don't get a video image displayed, however if I select any of the PID's and then select the home symbol, the feed from the backup camera will be displayed. It is as if it doesn't sense that the camera is powered on..... very annoying. Plus, when I start the Jeep the camera doesn't get displayed because the unit takes so long to boot up.

I bought this 6 months ago and could not be happier. I have reduced my MPG while increasing my HP. It is amaizing the options and data you get from the TD2. I have just added the EAS to allow me to put all of my lighting options on my TD!!! Great Product at a great value!!

got the traildash 2 for Christmas. Really enjoy knowing all the numbers going on while driving. Only wish that the different performance settings could help with a manual shift. Believe it is designed more for automatic trans. Either way, love the unit.

Very useful device. The gauges are the most important for me, but also being able to engage lockers and see angles is also important. Would definitely recommend this product.

I had gotten this chip for Christmas of 2016 and I can't complain about it, it's great it works well the only problem I had with min is that the screen will randomly change without me touching it. Other than that it's a good programmer

Quality expandable product

I've been running the TD2 for about a year now. Let's start with install, easy enough for this newbie to do. I made my own install video to show how easy it was! Now, getting into the features that make this product one of my favorite upgrades. Obviously there is the need to program tire size and gear ratios, the first step in any Jeep build but how about getting rid of the stupid lock chirp or turning off the headlights when locking or unlocking so not to blind your camping neighbors! I haven't asked them but I'm sure they appreciate it! These are the simple things that you don't think about but are happy someone thought of it. Next, the program options for the day to day. I run the 87 octane program. This gives me 1-2 mpg improvement but also vastly improved the shifting of the transmission and a huge increase in the take off power vs without. I've also used the trail and tow programs. The trail program has helped me tremendously on the trail. Having an auto trans I was bothered by the constant up and down shift. I couldn't get the hang of keeping it from shifting so frequently. With the trail setting the shifting was much more reliable and suited to my style making my time on the trails more enjoyable. This past weekend I had the opportunity to use the tow program. I have a small trailer I've been taking to shows. Recently I took it to Bantam and noticed the transmission struggled in the heat on the hills. The trans was getting hot and concerned me enough that I took an early pit stop. I plan to add a trans cooler but didn't have time before the next event. I decided to go ahead and run 91 octane (required for this option) and give this program a try. Although the fuel cost a little more the trans and engine never came close to overheating even though the outside temps were near 90 degrees! The shifting was smoother and I noticed considerably less major downshifting while climbing hills. Now if that's not enough to convince you to give it a try how about the add ons that are available? This weekend I'm installing the EAS system that will allow me to control my rock lights, light bars and compressor from my TD2 screen, no need for an extra panel cluttering up my interior! Next on my list is the back up camera that can be connected as well! So you can go out and buy all these separate products that still won't do everything the TD2 does or you can buy the one product that does it all and keep some money in your pocket.So, yes I happily give the TD2 a 5 star rating and recommend it to anyone!

Awesome tool for seeing what is going on with your Jeep! this tool allows you to monitor and make changes to how the Jeep preforms. Simple thing like setting alerts for tire pressure or when your foot is too far into the accelerator. to complex engines settings for fuel type and performance parameters. This is stuff that should have come with the Jeep but did not!!!!

I've been involved with the Jeep and off road community since 1997. I've tuned TJs, LJs, YJs, and Fords with Flashpaq and Cortex units for years, but the monitoring capabilities and real-time display characteristics offered by the TrailDash2 unit really sets this product apart. I use it to monitor additional OBDII inputs that are available from the vehicle, but not displayed on the gauge cluster, such as transmission temperature and throttle position. We also have it hooked up as a display unit for a backup camera mounted on the spare tire carrier of our Jeep Wrangler JK. We're running the 91-octane performance tune and really like the improved shifting habits of the 5-speed automatic. We're based in the mountains of Southwest Colorado where our trail elevations range from about 6000' to 13000' above sea level. Anything you can do to increase power is welcome in my book.

I have used a few different Programmers, such as Diablo and Edge on other vehicles, and Hands down Superchips is the easiest to use. They have a super easy user interface, that makes dialing in your vehicle to what you want easy. When I need another Programmer, I will be buying again.

I've had the TD2 installed for about a month now in my 2017 Jeep Rubicon and it seems to be working as advertised. I like being able to make changes quickly and easily. I'm not sure that you'll notice any performance or gas mileage increases, but the information center is nice. I have noticed that the computer calculated MPG is way higher than actual manual calculation. That's probably not a TD2 problem though.

It does what it says it does. It’s not a supercharger but if you have the cold air intake exhaust and throttle body Perfomrance 91 Plus on 35 lifted. The car won’t downshift looking for extra hp.

EZ Install

The install went well everything worked. But there some drawbacks that I was unaware of, in order to use any of the Trail Dash 2 switches with the EAS device. Two things must be understood, first you will need relays to do the power switching. And second in order for any of those switches to work the Ignition must be turned ON. Another note I called and asked for customer service to send me a list of all of the gauges that it will do, well that did not work still no info. Sorry about that.

We're NINE MONTHS into 2018 and you guys STILL don't have the FlashPaq OR TrailDash2 updates for the 2018 JEEP JK/JKU. These devices are both STILL only working for 2015-2017 Jeeps... NOT ACCEPTABLE.

If you drive a Jeep JK, all I have to say is if you don’t buy this you should already regret it. The way my jeep ran stock vs how it runs on 91 performance is insane. To have my throttle back is pretty incredible. Definitely recommend

Doesn't do what is needed most

I have had this unit close to 7 months. It functions just as advertised. The ability to use lockers in Hi Range is great. Unfortunately the ESC still can not be deactivated. This is a huge issue when driving through muddy terrain. I am hoping for a software update that will address this and allow for ESC to be completely shut off. The 'soft' shut off on the jeep dash is a joke. Please Superchips engineers, get on this! Thanks!

bought this product installed it and thought there was a problem. There wasnt it was me installing it wrong. BE VERY CAREFUL PULLING ON THE PCM WIRES!!! after the wires were fixed the trail dash 2 works great no more engine light

I bought the TD2 after adding new wheels and tires (Nitto 35x12.5x17 Ridge Grapplers). I drove a couple of days without the TD2 and after installing and tuning I noticed a HUGE difference. I have the same power as before adding larger wheels and tires using the 87 octane tune. A week later, I drove it to Moab and was able to use the Crawl tune. Amazing. Throttle is less responsive making the ride smooth on the trail. If you put larger tires on your vehicle, get this tuner!
