Hi, I just received my Sniper EFI and found this in the box. It is not referenced at all in the instructions. What is it for and do I install it with the kit. I have a 350 Buick engine with a Pertonix III Ignition.

Answer
Mike, The 556-150 is the Sniper EFI Ignition coil driver module. It can be used in the place of a CD box in installations that need something to drive a coil. If you search the below document for the term "coil driver" you will find several sections of the instructions with information regarding this component. http://documents.holley.com/199r11031r.pdf Since you already have an existing ignition system, you do not need to utilize this component of the kit.

Hi, I have asked this question before but I still have not received and answer. My question is will the 556-150 work with my Terminator EFI and Dual sync distributor. Thanks Sean

Answer
As a blanket answer, Yes, those components will all work together. The Driver essentially replaces an MSD box with regard to wiring and functionality. That being said, the coil driver shouldn''t be used on a higher horsepower application. Anything over 400HP will tax the capabilities of the coil driver.

Works great, easy to wire in but no provisions for mounting

I installed this unit in my 67 Mustang as part of a Sniper EFI and Hyperspark conversion. This module only has three wires to connect up, so wiring was a breeze. The module has worked great. My car fired right up and has been running smoother than it ever has. Do remember this unit must be paired with the proper coil, canister style from Holley. The only reason I did not give this module 5 stars was the lack of any sort of provision to mount it in the car. It has no bracket or place to drill holes. I ended up using double-sided heavy-duty tape to mount it in my car. But overall I would recommend this to anyone using or going with a Hyperspark system and a canister style coil.
