Unleash the beast!

Have had my pulsar installed for about a month. The performance mode is by far the best reason to purchase this mod! Unbelievable pedal response and your Hemi actually performs like a V8! Economy mode doesn’t add much. 19 combined and 22 highway with 20” tires. I do prefer Econ mode over stock however. I did not experience any issues with check engine lights, etc and am overall pretty happy with purchase. Install is a bit tight, but manageable. Wouldn’t want to uninstall too many times to return to dealer for factory service.

I bought this about a month ago and installed it on my 2020 Ram 1500, 5.7 hemi. I bought it primarily for towing my enclosed 26 foot car hauler, with a 64 Plymouth Savoy Super Stock car, total weight about 9000 lbs. I was getting 6 MPG at anywhere from 65 to 70 MPH without it, I have the 3.92 rear gear. After towing with it for a 300 mile round trip I recieved 9 MPG at 70 MPH, 10 MPG at 55 MPH. Great increase and I'm not dialed in yet on the sweet spot of MPH, need to test between 65 and 70 MPH in one mile per hour increments. Over all I'm really pleased and would recommend it for the Ram 1500, hemis. I tried the performance mode with out a trailer and could break loose the rear tires. The economy mode added about 6 miles per gallon under 55 MPH. I need to find out what the MDS off mode will do, I really don't understand what it's supposed to do.

I bought this to turn off my MDS and it doesn't work you can notice a difference in throttle response but I don't think it's worth almost 600.00 they sent me a new one and it don't work also waste of time.

I received my Pulsar on 12/17/18 for my 2019 Ram 1500. Installation was as easy as they say but you have to wiggle the connectors around a bit to get them to reach the Pulsar after it is installed. I set my tire size and diff ratio because I have the Blackout package with the 20” wheels and 3.92 rear end. Performance mode is AMAZING!! The engine growls to life, the shift points are perfect and the throttle response is stupid fast. It improved my 0-60 by at least 2 seconds and I get around 4 MPG better mileage. I have less than 3,000 miles on the truck and I expect my MPG to get even better as I get more miles on.

I have had model number 32453 on my 2019 ram 5.7 for over a year and all I have Dealt with his check engine lights took into the dealership after removing it and they found nothing wrong I would not recommend putting this on your Dodge ram

Awesome… But Nervous

I had the previous version (prior to the redesign) and it was amazing. Then I started getting check engine lights and codes. It wasn’t really a huge thing until my truck went into limp mode and I had to go from a red light into a lot at 5 mph. Couldn’t clear codes with my reader and had to pull the negative to clear everything. BUT it woke my truck up so much that I just couldn’t stop thinking about it, like a girl that cheats but it was just so good you almost don’t care. So, I got this new one in an attempt to mend our relationship. It woke my truck up just like last time but this one’s got heels. The old version would fight and deactivate the cylinder deactivation every time it came on in the old version. This one limits the gear to 8 so it doesn’t ever kick on. I’m super happy with this one just praying she doesn’t cheat and throw codes. 4 stars only because I’m scared. Hasn’t so far and it’s been a few weeks so FINGERS CROSSED!

I have bought programmers for many vehicles in the past and to date this is by far the best one yet. The performance is by the seat of your pants noticable. After driving my truck my buddy is ordering one for his as well. Really like how easy it is to change settings from steering wheel cruise control and everything is displayed in dash cluster. Yes I would recommend to a friend.

Bought this for my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. Was able to program for the 35’s I am running. Once it was finished programming the truck fired right up and I thought all was good. I have always ran 93 octane fuel in truck so switched it to perf mds/off mode and truck was running good till I got up to speed and truck shifted into mds mode which is real noticeable due to the muffler delete I had performed. So at this point I sent my first email in to ask what was up. Return email basically said put it into a mds/off mode and it will disable it. Ordered an update cable and updated unit. Still kept going into mds mode. After taking pictures and sending another email to ask what’s up and what needs to be done I am a month now without so much as a reply. Product works great with what works but customer service needs to be worked on. Would not recommend this product to anyone till customer service is improved and and the bugs are worked out.

And if you have to take your truck in for warranty work just take it off and there is no trace of it ever being there. Y have 8 different settings and you can change them while driving which I think is great.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago and the throttle response is significantly better and in performance mode I haven’t noticed any significant loss in fuel mileage. However I have only ever used top tier fuels and premium grade only. It works great and would recommend this to anyone with a new Ram..

I bought this a few months ago for my 21 Rebel 5.7 NA Installation was easy, if you can make a sandwich you can install this. The mode toggling feature was easy to get the hang of. It does all it claims to do. Saves gas in econ mode. Really picks up in performance mode and let's be honest, that's where I'm living life.*** What this is not*** is a custom written tune, it is not the best electronic tuner you can buy. ***But For The Price!!! It's amazing!!!***

After having this tuner installed in my 1500 2020 Ram. Im now having problems with transmission shifting correctly! I have many codes that are stuck in my computer. Service Electronic stability control message comes on and I have to turn off my vehicle then back on inorder to move. No one has returned my call. My truck is brand new just hit 25 thousand miles.

I just got a 2019 ram with the hemi and if you have ever driven one, you would understand when I tell you about the lack of throttle response and poor shift patterns. After the pulsar it is a whole different truck. Much more responsive and quicker to react. I use the tow mode mostly. Performance mode is super touchy!

Turned my 2020 Ram 1500 into a BEAST

This was a perfect addition to my Ram. Accompanied with my installed K&N High Flow Cold Air Intake and Outlaw Direct Flow Muffler, this tuner made for a perfect trio to unleash my Ram’s full potential. Installation was very easy and straightforward (took me less than an hour) thanks to clear and simple instructions. The 8 levels are intuitive and I love how I can easily control and switch between them using the cruise control keys and see it right on the dashboard panel. I typically keep it in Economy MDS Off (this level maximizes my fuel economy which is the reason I bought this in the first place; I’ve gained an average of 2.5 mpg; now I average around 20mpg city with all 3 performance mods) but several times I threw it in Performance MDS Off which REALLY hauls A! Throttle response is flawless and the horsepower and torque boost adds a fluid punch. Even in the tow levels, you can feel the increased torque. As far as the MDS Off levels, it perfectly turns off MDS which makes a huge difference in performance as turning off the 4 cylinders is counterintuitive to performance if you have increased airflow such as with a Cold Air Intake and/or Direct Flow Muffler installed. And as an added benefit, NO MORE DRONING!! This tuner is well worth the investment and a great addition for fine tuning and maximum performance on your Ram especially if you already have performance parts installed.

The only negative thing I have to say is. When you are driving down the freeway the mds kicks on for a blink of an eye then the pulsar shuts it off. So I always have to hear the engine fluctuate in rpm every 3 seconds. So I have to do my normal trick and put the gear selector to 8th so the mds stays off. Other the. That it really wakes the truck up. You can feel the power difference in every mode and the throttle gets more touchy as you go up in power so be careful.

Installed on 2019 Ram Classic Express with 5.7 Hemi. The results were very noticeable. I normally keep it in the "Stock No MDS" mode. I also use the "Tow No MDS" mode when towing my 22' Tidewater. However; just be ready when you try the "Performance" mode. Acceleration is ISTANTANEOUS and will set your head back. The HP increase is also noticeable when in "Performance" mode.

Just got my nerve up to install this last weekend, instructions made it seem way more complicated than it was. Once I got into it, everything made sense and was very easy to do. And WOW! Installed a K & N Cold Air system at the same time and now when you select the "Performance Mode", it runs noticeably better! Or can just leave Stock, economy or Tow; and with or without the MDS system. Very simple to scroll between settings using the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. Very simple well thought out system!

Bought this about a month ago and at first it was great. Huge improvement in throttle response. I did input my tire size to calibrate the speedometer and it didn't work. A couple days ago it caused a fault in my electronic stability control and threw an engine light. I had to remove it to get rid of the fault. Now I have a new tuner sitting in my garage, collecting dust. Maybe I just got a bad unit.

I bought this a few weeks ago and, after reading reviews about the problems experienced in 2019, I reached out to The Diablosport team to verify compatibility with my 2021 Ram Laramie. I was assured that it was compatible. Installation is simple and straight forward. The results are amazing. Crisp throttle response in both tow and performance modes. Turning of MDS is just the icing on the cake. The ease of use via steering wheel mounted controls is a great feature. Truly having your cake, and doing burnouts too. I have been running this for about two weeks now and I’m really happy with the results so far. Gas pedal lag is no more in all positions . While in Performance all I can say is wow and in economy I have seen a little gain in mileage. Really happy all around and very easy to install.

I got the Pulsar about 2 weeks ago, and stay in economy mode mostly. My avg MOG has went up 1.5 miles, which is decent. One thing to remember is the Pulsar is NOT a tuner. It does NOT remove speed limits, and you can’t specifically tune like u can with a legitimate tuner. I can feel a difference in power from stock to performance, but not “30 hp” as it states. Maybe 4-5 HP at the most. Easy to install, and throttle response changes, but just spend the extra money and get a real tuner.

Had this Pulsar for almost a month now. So far enjoying it. I have tried out the different modes; i'm not a fan of economy mode. Tow mode is probably the best as far as drivability is concerned. Especially the fact that my truck has 35s, it changed the shift points just right, and added a little bit of sensitivity to the throttle. Performance mode really wakes up the truck and makes the throttle very sensitive. The shift on the fly feature is really great too. My only issue is that anytime I have to go to the dealer, I have to remove the Pulsar.

So far I cannot update by computer, tried the update agent 1.0 for windows, tried to register my Pulsar, serial # is not marked on product as serial number, which numbers do you want ? Installed in truck, computer with update agent will not recognize its installed, have had a couple times truck died at a stop sign, then acted up again, not sure I'm very happy yet.

So I got PULSAR for my 2019 Hemi and installed it the same day. Installation was a breeze and easy to understand - you can also simply follow the video. 15min later I was out for a drive, and OMG. I put it in Performance mode, the smile on my face says it all. THROTTLE Response is amazing... the difference is very noticeable. - I promise you, you will be happy. I installed this in my 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7L Hemi E-torque. Super easy install. I did buy the USB-OBDII cable so I could update the Pulsar software if need be. It did come already updated but I'm glad I can update as new software releases become available. I did have issues after the install with the 12" navigation system....I lost alot of the settings apps and control of the heat/cool system which is controlled from the nav system. It was like the nav system reverted to the software for the 8" display. Everything just looked different is how I'd explain it. After a few hours, the system updated itself and everything is back to normal. The inline tuner is awesome that you can make changes on the fly and it's integrated with the instrument cluster display. I really wish they would add the ability to defeat the speed limiter and Auto-off feature. Maybe that will be available down the line. I'm really happy with the instant throttle response...oh my!!! And I'm getting 3 miles per gallon better fuel economy with the "Performance" setting. Went from 16.5 to 19.5. A worthy purchase indeed.

Bought for my 2019 Ram 1500 4x4. Running 35x12.5x20s. Had to tweak the tire size to get the correct speedometer reading but it’s painless to do so no big deal. Throttle response in performance mode is ridiculously good. Night and day from stock mode. Very impressed. No change in economy mode but with tire size I wasn’t expecting any help there. Curious to see tow/haul benefits when able to. If you want to unlock some extra gitty up, get the Pulsar. Easy to install. Being able to change your mode on the fly is pretty cool too.

You will not be dissatisfied with the chip. Super easy to install and the ability to change settings on the fly is awesome. Headed down highway, switch to economy. Pull into to town and need to show some muscle at the red light, switch to performance mode. This is the best chip I have ever installed.

I bought the pulsar kit for my 2019 ram limited and it makes a huge difference when you are in performance mode. When I first put the product into the truck I almost sent it back because it changed all of my screens to a basic look. I called Diablo up and they told me everything will come back apparently They reset themselves once the battery is removed. Everything came back. Thankfully my only complain is that you can’t remove the speed limiter with this kit. That was kind of a bummer. Other than that 100 % would recommend

I've been waiting for this product for a whole year! Finally the pulsar for my 2020 ram 1500 is available. Easy install and wow!! The hemi power was unleashed! Love the throttle response too. I also have 35 inch tires and was able to calibrate speedometer.

I bought this about a month ago and now in performance mode there is a big difference in take off and pick up speed and in economy mode I get 2-3 more mpg.

Install my Pulsar a month ago. It's changed the truck 100%. The power and shifting of the transmission is unbelievable. The sound of the exhaust system you can even hear the power. Gas mileage has improved 105 MPG.

Nothing I have used diablo tuners in the past and they worked better then any other, I do think they rushed the pulsar to market and someone will get injured do to what happens with some dodge rams like mine with it going I to limp mode, taking off by itself, check engine light coming on, etc etc.

Great little chip and integrates seemlessly. You really are paying for the integration, not so much the gains. Still a fun little edition pending you have the cash to blow. If not, a 99.00 pedal camander will do the same thing

Buy this tuner if you have a new 1500 it will make your Hemi run like it is supposed to easy install and night and day from stock to preformance mode. Very happy with this tuner and can’t imagine going back

Not what I expected

Overall I am not completely disappointed but not at all what I expected. Eco mode is completely useless, you have to put your foot to the floor to even accelerate from 50-60mph on the highway, performance mode only seems to have added throttle response and not much different. Actually feels slower from 3500-5000rpm. Shifts points are better in performance mode, but shift speed and firmness at WOT are the same as stock. Great features that you can change tunes on the fly, but it only seems to affect throttle response and nothing else. personally I would not waste the money, better off waiting for a custom tuning option

I have had this for a few weeks now and I'm fairly happy with the canned tunes. I'm disappointed that the "speed limiter" can NOT be turned off or adjusted higher. Loved the MSD off option! I hope Diablosport continues to make tune improvements, have continued support and development on this product.

Parking sensors not working after install

As soon as I installed, parking sensors stopped working. I've called twice for support, did what I was told, not able to fix it yet. I'll give Diablo a third call if that doesn't work, I'll return it.

All worked well with the product, but tried to put on 2 year old truck. Cheap RAM plastic was brittle and broke so had to modify when I put it back. Product was solid and worked right away though!

I ordered around a month ago. The first one had an issue, but customer service immediately despatched another. Fitting is not the easiest, and takes a little patience as the bolts become 'hidden' by other engine components. My PCM cables were just about long enough but it was a squeeze. The difference in engine response is immediate (Performance mode on), and it brings a smile to my face. Its not TRX or Raptor performance, but it beats most other trucks off the line.

Love the performance and throttle response I now have when in performance MDS mode, I haven’t use any other mode as of yet. This next week I’ll install cold air intake. My 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 already has Borla cat back exhaust. Now with the Pulsar really sounds great! I’m very please with this purchase.

4+ MPG Street, 3+ MPG towing, More Power

I've been driving this for about a month now. I find I do the opposite of what some people suggested doing, and get the most efficiency out of my 2019 Ram Classic. In town, I use eco mode. The throttle response is slower and smoother. On the freeway, I use performance mode, as it responds better at higher speeds and shifts immediately. My first tank of gas took me from 15 mpg average, to 19 mpg average. Towing a decent load, I was averaging 11-12 mpg. Towing that same load with the Pulsar, I got 15+. It rarely shifted lower than 6th gear, and only went down to 5th on the steepest hills. Before, I was shifting down to 4th and killing cruise control just so I didn't rev so high. I put the manual gear selector in either 6 or 7 and pulled 70-75 mph with no problems. My advice is get it. Be careful of performance mode in town, because you can't push the gas soft enough not to screech the tires.

Throttle Response

Super easy install and very easy to change between levels. My 2019 Ram Classic has also been upgraded with vararam air grabber and cat back exhaust, so I can’t say what the programmer has done alone. I will say it has great throttle response now and more “seat of the pants” power. I’m running 93 octane as well, so there are a lot of variables to throw in the equation. I can’t give it an excellent rating because I cannot say that it is the reason for all the gains. That is not Diablo’s fault.

I installed this a couple of weeks ago and so far the biggest noticeable difference I see is the throttle response… at first the electrical I thought were messed up as my radio did not work but then the next day everything was fine as I think it takes sometime for system to adapt… Other than that I’m looking for increases in mpg but it’s not giving me the 2-3 mph I was hoping for..

I've had installed and drove 100 miles. I did see approx 1 mpg better hwy on performance mode and it did seem to have more throttle/shift response but the backup/front sensors are disabled now. I don't have confidence in the unit so I'll be returning. Also I inputed the exact tire size in inches and the correct axle ratio and it's 3 mph wrong in the opposite way now.

I fitted the Pulsar to my 22 RAM 1500 Laramie. It was a simple procedure. Everything seemed to work, I set my tyre size to 35" and took it for a test drive. Immediately noticed a warning - parking sensors were not working. I thought that they may come on them selves after a while. No luck. Tried everything. No parking sensors. Checked wiring, checked for fault codes, nothing. Just seems to break your parking sensors. Maybe this is an issue with the 22 model ? I have emailed Diablo Sport but no response. Would give this a much better review if my parking sensors worked.
