Vehicle Overview

I love this car. I fell for her when my uncle brought her home in '81 and I have loved her ever since. She's been parked since parked since the late '90s and needs a lot of work to get her up and running, but I'm excited about all of it.

Future Plans

Just get her running... the right way. That means changing all the fluids and doing some some rust treatment and mitigation on the frame and suspension components. I will also replace the tires, suspension bushings and ball joints, and u-joints. I'll also replace the the brake rotors and assess brake system. If that's as bad as I think it is, I will replace the calipers with Wilwood and replace all of the soft lines and master cylinder. The engine will need a new radiator, carb (Holley Street Avenger 770), and distributer (MSD tach drive?), and the transmission needs a new clutch and seals. The exhaust is rusted through, so I'll swap-in headers and build a new 2.5 inch exhaust with Borla mufflers. Eventually, I would like to give her a bigger cam. The stock L-36 peaks at 5300 RPMs, so I want to upgrade to something like the Comp XE268H. It already has the big, oval-port heads and 10.25 compression, so a little more cam should make good power up to 6000.
