By disabling the factory Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, the Sprint Module prevents unwanted cylinder deactivation that robs your vehicle of power. For newer 2019-2022 GM trucks equipped with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM), the Sprint Module also shuts down this feature ensuring your engine runs in full V8 mode at all times.

Exactly What I Needed

Great product. If you have an issue with feeling the transition of the v8 to v4 and or are experiencing harsh downshifting due to the transmission constantly learning from v8 to v4 this product should solve it.

I bought this to get rid of 4 cylinder activation. After some reading and reviews, I decided to try. Best decision I’ve ever made. Does exactly what it says it does and felt the power immediately. No problems as of yet great throttle response and no hard shifts or jumps from the back and forth. 8 cylinders all the time. My truck loves it!!!

I have only had this module going on three weeks. Reason for buying it was to hopefully prevent the failure of the AFM lifter. If they are not collapsing they shouldn’t fail. It has the engine locked in V8 and I have not noticed a lose of gas mileage. It also runs smother. Now just hoping it prevents the GM cursed AFM failure. Great unit.

Had problem with gmc 5.3l fouling plugs and burning oil during hard acceleration from v4 mode. Changed plugs and plugged the sprint unit in. No more oil burning, No more fouled plugs, and better performance. Win all the way around. already told all my friends with AFM DOD about it. Thanks.

I bought this a month ago 2 day shipping pulled it out of the box and plugged it into my obd ll port it instantly turned off the afm in my 08 Silverado no more hesitations and switching back and forth from V4 to V8 my fuel mileage his increased I’m running 14mpg I would recommend this to anyone who wants to deactivate their afm and not spend a ton of money!

I do 100+ miles a day for driving in my modified 13 Silverado this chip make the truck run super smooth on highway, backroads traffic ect. This is my second Diablo Sprint. I purchased one 8 months ago for my 2010 Silverado, 5.3 ltr. I left it plugged in and every time the pickup was started it worked perfectly, and still does. This is my second Diablo Sport I bought for my 2008 Silverado, 6.0 ltr, and so far it has performed flawlessly as well and I expect it to continue. Both vehicles have never dropped to 4 cyl, always remained in 8 cyl. These modules do exactly as it is supposed to do.

I have it in my 2010 chey 1500 and i guess it does everything that it is suppose to. When I start the truck it turns on, and when I drive away the 2 out of 3 led lights eventually stop blinking one after another with them staying lit up.

My 2007 Silverado was giving a P0300 misfire code on cylinder 6 I changed coil pack and spark plug and wire on cylinder 6 still didn’t fix problem I called Chevy dealer they said engine needs AFM lifters replaced I got a quote for parts and labor $4000.00 I did research and read about DiabloSport.com and ordered a AFM disabled for 240.00 when it came in I plugged it and drove truck around block and before I got home the code shut off and truck is running great now

This thing works as advertised. I was concerned by the "Cylinder 6 misfire" code last month and the Sprint Module keeps it in V8 mode without a hitch. Hopefully it will buy me some time before the need of a new cam and lifters.

Bought two of these, one for my 2008 Tahoe (which needed a new valvtrain/cam under warrenty because AFM grenaded everything), and one for my 2014 Caprice and all is well. Gas milage has changed slightly, very minimal to the point were I wouldn't notice if I didn't track it. Compared to the 7k it cost to fix my Tahoe it's a no brainer. AFM is garbage and it WILL destroy your valvtrain eventually. Diablo needs to make more stuff for the Caprice though because there products work well.

I bought this module back in September, what a different this made in my 2008 Impala SS , has more power and no more shutters when you take off from stopping at redlghts and it stays in 8 cylinder mode! Also I found on Amazon a on switch you plug into the OB2 port ahd the other to the Diablo Module, when you turn your car or truck off just turn the switch on the cord off therefore no battery power drain! DO REMEMBER TO TURN SWITCH TO MODULE ON !! if you don’t it will go back ti AFM mode .Overall very satisfied with it !! I highly recommend this to anyone with the SORRY AFM SYSTEM in their GM vehicle.

I bought this about a month ago and have been very pleased with it. I can't tell about fuel mileage because I drive in town 99 percent of the time. I love the fact that it stays in v8 mode and has eliminated the sluggish shifting. I've checked my oil every 3 days since I plugged it in ,so far it hasn't moved off full. I been looking to cut off the cylinder drop from 8 to 4 on my 2015 GMC Serria, never liked it since I had the truck. I also had throttle lag which was pretty annoying. The Diablo sport fixed both problems. The only down side is I lost ABOUT a mile per gallon. My best avg was 16.8 now with the Diablo sport it’s around 16.2 on the good end and 15.8 on the bad end .. depends on my driving habits. I’m Totally satisfied with my purchase … CJR

I purchased the sprint afm hoping my 16 Silverado 1500 would stay in 8 and it doesn’t the red led constantly flashes while driving on obd 2 I called tech support and went through the motions again and still didn’t work truck still drops to 4 cylinders and light still blinks

I purchased this recently for my 2008 Suburban to stop it from going into the 4 cyl mode and to possibly reduce the oil usage. It has worked as advertised plus my MPG actually improved by 2 MPGs. I would have thought the MPGs might have went down because it now stays in 8 cyl mode. I guess Chevrolet got it wrong with the 4 cyl mode but the Sprint corrected their blunder.

Bought it recently and was excited to plug it up I can’t stand v4 mode. So I thought I’d see just how well it worked so I left my dash screen on the fuel mileage screen and when I coast for an extended time like going down a hill guess what happened. My truck tells me it’s in v4mode, now granted it was only briefly but my should advertise disables afm 80% of the time

I was feeling the hesitation regularly at cruise on a slight incline. I bought the Sprint and installed it. Easy install, lights on it go dark when car is off and locked, so it looks like no battery drain. Car stays in V8 mode now, no fault lights or indications. Reason I only give it 4 stars is it didn't totally eliminate the hesitation. It still happens, but rarely now. Could possibly be something else causing it. Power feels good all the time now. Haven't really noticed fuel economy decrease, although I do a lot of rush hour driving. Definitely recommend to any Camaro SS owner.

The only thing I got to complain about is the price, this module works great so far, no CELs have been set and the 4 beater mode hasn't came on at all. Shuts off with the key off and doesn't need a pass through cable for my 2013 anyway

This saved me thousands of dollars, I have a 07 suburban that was plagued with oil consumption problems, I bought this tuner so that I could shut off the afm and replaced the valve cover with the new design and I'm very happy to say 2000 miles later my truck hasn't used any oil.....thanks diablosport!

2007 Tahoe LTZ, it does as it says. It actively works to keep the vehicle in V8 mode. I was averaging 13.5mpg, now up between 15.5 and 17. I was burning a quart of oil every 1000 miles. I installed the Sport s1000 when I did a fresh oil change and I haven't had to add any oil. I'm about to change it again after 7k miles... Chevy Displacement On Demand in my model was a mess, but not anymore. $200 is better than changing the oil pan and heads...

My 2013 Chevrolet 1500 was always going in and out of AFM. I would be driving 50 mph and you could feel it going in and out. A friend told me it cost him $2600 dollars to replace the lifters if he did the work.I like the thought when I need the power it`s there with no hesitation. Fuel economy, who cares it`s a truck. If I want fuel economy I will by a Prius.

Works great so far! The only reason it didn’t receive a perfect score is because it won’t let onstar run a diagnostic report on the myChevy app, even after I unplug it. I have to call onstar directly. If they can work out this bug, it’ll be absolutely perfect!

I bought this and it does deactivate the active fuel management. But it messes with the readiness monitors and wont set 3 of the monitors to pass inspection. So if you have issues already then this is not what you need. You have to have it unplugged do a drive cycle, get inspected and then plug back up.

My 2016 Silverado LTZ is now a full time V8. I love the response when I accelerate and no more delay when shifting due to the 4 cylinder mode causing it. No more low speed shudder with in town driving. Also some of the reviews cautioned about battery drain. Mine has set for a week and no battery issue at all. Thanks Diablo for a great product!

All this does is ruin your fuel mileage. Lost about 5mpg with this plugged in and you don't even notice a difference in the way the vehicle drives. I should have given the money to charity at least then the money would have been put to good use. Worst purchase I have ever made and I've made some bad ones. I purchased this device with one thing in mind, Disabled AFM on my 2015 GMC Sierra, I was happy with the way my truck ran before but wanting the security of a less likely AFM failure while waiting to do a AFM delete and valve train upgrade. Since installing a few weeks ago I have not had any battery issues and my truck sits more than I drive it with no battery issues. My truck seems to have more power even though I know it is just more of the power the truck has always had. Combined with a quality Oil Catch can and fresh oil change with oil for modern engines and my truck purrs like a kitten. no more weird rough idle or spastic acceleration AVG MPG 16.4 on the DIS with no highway driving. I chose this device over another brand that was less expensive because of my past history with this companies tuners they showed me good customer service in the past and great products I showed them loyalty.

Not working on my truck

I used this module only one Day. Yes the afm are disabled but cause many hard knockin downshift to my transmission. I get a transmission update from the dealer in last month. Maybe the Reason why not working properly on mine. And used usps for that item should be better. UPS is so expensive. I must payed 100$ more when item arrived at home.

I bought this hoping it would just get rid of the Active Fuel Management, but it did so much more. My Engine is running better, I gained about 2-3 MPG from the stock config, no more stupid exhaust buzzing, and dare I say a tad bit more power from my truck. I also took it out and put it in my wife's rig and it worked great in there as well. I would highly recommend it!

Genius! I'm totally impressed. I plugged the diablo sprint in and as soon as I took a test ride i knew I made the right decision. Not only does this tuner keep my 2015 Silverado from dropping 4 cylinders it seems to make the truck run smoother which I noticed more and more after putting on some miles. The shift points are dimed in. The idle and acceleration are smooth and evened out. I can pass on the highway now without the truck down shifting and winding the engine up to 4000 rpms. I did the muffler delete locked the exhaust valve wide open and installed the sprint. Now look at me...smokin rams a d 150s like they're standing still. I love the look on their faces when I stomp the pedal. Lol. And so far absolutely no battery drain issues. The diablo sprint fires up with all red lights on within 3 to 4 seconds of turning the motor over. I always let it go full red before I even put her in drive. And running regular 87 most of the time. Occasionally I'll dump a tank of 89 in and some name brand injector cleaner just for gp. If u own the 5.3 ecotec..do the 3 things I did and you won't want to sell your rig anymore because before I got the sprint I was ready to drive mine off a steep cliff. Btw I did lose a out 1 mpg but well worth the performance increase and the fact I dont have that shift drive train clunk anymore. She even downshifts much smoother and no more excess downshifting when I accelerate so to me the truck is being beat a lot less.

Game changer. Wish I bought this years ago. It drives like a new truck with the Sprint. Completely fixed the AFM transmission shudder I was feeling. Don't think about it just buy it. Worth every penny.

my gmc sierra was always downshifting in 4 cylinder mode and drive train would clunk in town on downshifts. and it used oil. The diablo sprint module helped with oil usage and it also stopped ruff downshifts.after I put module in it. It runs smooth now and goes up hills effortlessly without downshift at 60 miles a hour. I am 71 and I really would recommend this to gm 5.3 owners. I have been leaving it plugged in up to three days setting in garage and it has not drained my battery. Thanks diablo. I am a lot happier with my gmc now.

I bought several months ago. It works great most of the time. Sometimes it stops working and returns to V4 mode at certain speeds. I just unplug the Sprint module and plug back in. It then go for a few weeks and stops working again (allows AFM to start back by allowing 4 cylinders to drop out).

WOW MY TAHOE HAS A V8?!

Bought this about 2 months ago, My mpg went down 1mpg, but... That rumble I had when cruising from 4cyl mode is gone. The suv doesn't act stupid like its making decisions GM didn't program it to do when I hit the accelerator from a complete stop. In other words my 2015 Tahoe LT 5.3 6speed drives like it should have been intended to drive. Like a v8, I don't need to get 20+mpg in a TAHOE. Also I have a platinum duralast and I've left the car off for about 5 days at most and it cranked right up after sitting. So personally I have not experienced battery drain issues @ 5 days sitting. She won't ever sit longer than that. THANKS DIABLO SPORT FOR OFFERING A SOLUTION

Bought on sale. Plugged it in and noticed the difference right away. I have a 2010 Silverado and the shifting has no lag due to it not switching into 4cyl mode. Ideal is great runs smooth plus it doesn’t have the drone sound. I will see with oil consumption in about a month.

Have had the sprint for about a week so far and have seen much change without the truck dropping to V4 mode all the time especially having after market exhaust. The only thing that disappointed me was the cost. I live in Canada and by the time you pay the exchange and shipping fees the price is double to what it is advertised. Would of thought different at the final cost if I had know ahead of time. Will keep on testing it to see if it makes a great difference.

I own a 2020 Chevy Silverado 5.3L and I’ve had it for almost 4 months now. While driving the truck before installing the sprint mod, I noticed that the transmission was acting weird, shifting when I didn’t think it should and sometimes even hard shifts I felt. After installing the mod it’s like a new truck. The shifts, I feel, are more on point then before. I can also notice that I don’t lose power when I did before, but wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t installed the mod. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a truck with AFM and doesn’t like the way it shifts.

Ordered direct during their 20% with free 2day shipping..it showed up after a week. It does what it claims. Kind of expensive. If you're not on the highway alot, you can get similar results by not using overdrive.. I don't care for the ref lights on it. Had I known it was made by the same company that offers other colors I probably would have bought that instead. Still undecided of I would recommend it.

I’ve driven over 2k miles on a trip, mileage is the same as before, maybe the horsepower increased but hard to tell. Maybe more miles will show a difference, but I don’t think it is worth the money. We’ll see. Besides you shouldn’t request a review until enough time and miles pass.

V4 mode begone! My 08 Chevy w/ 200k+ miles seemed like the AFM was getting bad. I was getting tired of a harsh vibration coming from the engine every time I slowed to a stop. This was an awesome and easy fix. I really enjoy it so far. Not sure if it really changes the delay with “pedal to go” time, but it does seem to have a little more power in third gear. Completely surprised me. I was a little worried about the battery problem I was reading about but I’ve had no issues at all. Thanks guys, it almost feels like a different truck. Oh and my mileage has stayed the exact same. -15.2mpg

I bought this a few weeks back, was immediately pleased, and that hasn't changed. No more clunky, slow switching between V4 and V8. When you need power, it's there. Need to pull out in a hurry? Now it will GO. And if there is any difference in MPG, I haven't noticed. I'm a believer that this is a good device, and that the AFM on these GM models is the dumbest thing they've ever done. Thanks Diablo for giving me my truck back.

I just replace the engine in my 07 GMC I had a 226,000 miles on it it was burning oil like crazy, put a new motor in that had 77,000 on it. Installed the DiabloSport truck stays in V8 mode all the time gas mileage is still good truck runs amazing great product. Definitely an engine saver.

It did everything that it said it will do. My 13 Silverado runs great, no more clunking or hesitation like it did when AFM was active going from 4 to 8 cylinder mode. It would have been a 5 star but I notice it reset my computer monitors for emissions. No big deal, but before I go get my emission I just have to remember to unplug the device and drive the vehicle for the monitors to set. Other than that this is a great product and love it.

Got this for my 2015 Tahoe when the EX2 tuner I got didn't work. This worked perfectly and returned the tuner. Stays in V8 mode and now very responsive when trying to pass. No lag anymore. Picture doesn't do it justice. This thing is small, sleek, and shiny. Looks very good and doesn't stick out at all. Makes the foot well glow a nice red too. My OBD2 port doesn't stay powered unless the engine is on. It stays off when the engine isn't running so I don't have to worry about battery drain.

What an amazing difference in drivability and without any discernible difference in fuel economy so far. Wish factory gave me this switch to turn off, but this ended up money very well spent. Didn’t realize how much this impacts the feel and behavior until I had it. No way this is ever coming off again.
