SEMA 2021: Every Chevrolet C8 Corvette from the Show

The C8 Corvette sort of got the short end of the stick with SEMA 2020 being cancelled due to COVID 19. The car was hot, fresh, and arguably the most significant revision to the corvette platform in history. The radical shift from front mid engine, to rear mid rear engine represented a drastic departure for the iconic sports car and the performance numbers it delivered were jaw dropping.

Circa 2020, everyone had huge expectations for what tuners, enthusiasts, and custom shops would do once C8s entered the market and disappointingly, the largest automotive art show of the year was forced into hibernation.

The hand-built engine hiding beneath the Corvette Z06's glass-covered engine bay bears this plaque.

And just like that, SEMA is back and so is the C8, fashionably late for its first trade show debut. C8s dotted the show floor in abundance, dripping with style and speed.

Design is the most subjective of tastes short of hot sauce preference, but in a sea of Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other exotics, America's sportscar held its own. The rear engine subtly peaking through glass, massive side air inlets, an ultra-low slung, stance, and countless other high-end queues elevated the C8s of SEMA to a newfound bowtie presence.

Whether slammed on air, track-prepped with functional aero and race rubber, or packing some wide-body carbon, SEMA 2021 had a 'Vette for all tastes.
