Vehicle Overview

This is a 1954 Plymouth I purchased at 16 years of age .It has had a full mechanical restoration but in need of body work and interior . I have owned the car for 42 years . Had it all through senior high school . Glad it can' t tell stories . This car came with Tinted glass , deluxe radio ,full wheel covers ,heater and power steering . This was all optional equipment for the day . It has no directional indicator lights or backup lights as they were an option and were not ordered . Last paint job was 1978. When I purchase it the color was original Battleship Grey . Pretty dull . I purchased Captain Metallic Blue, a 1978 A.M.C., color new for that year. DuPont Centari Acrylic Enamel . It has 78,000 original miles, it had 42,000 when I purchased it and came from western Canada. British Columbia to be exact.

Future Plans

I am going to start the cosmetic restoration work when I retire in a couple of years . I have all the chrome and interior in storage . I plan on repainting it with a Chrysler Color from the 1950's. Not sure what color yet ? This car is not modified all original including the 6 volt positive ground electrical system . I am planning on keeping it that way.
