Noticeable performance improvement

The programmer arrived in less than a week. Connection was easy and the menu easy to follow. Throttle response initially too touchy but able to dial it to my preference without problem. Added a Flowmasters exhaust and a cold air intake. I’d at minimum hp gains calculated, my 2012 Jeep now pushes 320hp and is very much improved! The Superchips programmer is worth every penny, you won’t be disappointed.

Using the mid level toon, jeep runs a lot better an gets better mpg than it did after I put the 285 tires on it. Also love all the adjustability adds. Corrected for the bigger tires and set fog lights to stay on when brights are on.

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with 33" tires and 456 gears. It has been poor performing when going up hills in overdrive. The website states that I can set my tire size (true) and gear ratio (false), which will help optimize performance. I've tried each of the options available and I see zero performance improvement.

Great way to the a build together

I've been running this in my 2008 JK since July and I'm very happy with it. From small things like shutting off my DRLs and correcting my speedometer for bigger tires, to bigger features, like adjusting my auto transmission's shift points and bumping my idle up for winching, its been an easy process. I'm running a raised cold air intake, headers and exhaust and with the 91 and 93 octane tunes, the Jeep has responded very well to them.

I have had the super ships programmer on my 5.9 and it definitely woke up the Jeep and seemed to have “optimized” the shift points like Superchips states and I can honestly say it shifts better and more crisp. There was a noticeable difference in power with the performance tune but the mileage tune was where I noticed the most positive improvement! Great and easy to use ! Also no more speed limiter ! Great product!

I have waited a year to write a review on this product because I really wanted to get to know this product. After this year I can safely say that this product has changed everything on my 2011 Jeep wrangler 3.8L. The 3.8 has always been very sluggish especially running teraflex 44HD axles with 37s. LOTS OF WEIGHT! It has improved my gas mileage, improved power output, and made the Jeep fun to drive again. I would definitely recommend this.

Great for adjusting speedometer and TPMS pressures. Tried a few of the tunes and they do make a difference in throttle response. The 93 tune seems to give you more power, especially on the highway with 35 inch tires. My only wish was for transmission adjustments like my BullyDog on my 2005 Silverado, however that could be a Jeep ECM thing.

Wow! That’s a single word for how amazing this little device is. I must say that I was skeptical at first (I’m an engineer so I only believe what I see). But now, after getting it and uploading the 87octane configuration, the Jeep feels like back when I had 31” tires! I have a 2013 JKU with 3.73 gears, 2.5” lift and 35s. This is device did the following for me (and I haven’t played with other options yet): 1. Corrected the speedo 2. Fixes the TPMS to run 30psi daily 3. Increased mpg by 2! That’s like 15% more efficient! Or another 36 miles per tank! Of course, this depends on your driving skills, but I have been monitoring mpg since I bought this keep stock and know how it went from 19mpg to 13mpg after all the mods. So I can tell! No kidding. 4. Increased responsiveness on the highway (not to be confused with more HP!). If you had a stock Jeep and the put 35s, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Big difference! Also, Superchips stand behind their products! Their customer service was superb in helping through a few things I was doing wrong. The guys are respectful so don’t hesitate to call them as needed! I highly recommend this to anyone with bigger tires and stock gears. It’s a must. And for those wondering if I got paid to say any of this, I didn’t! This is just a true and honest feedback from a satisfied customer. Wish I had bought this thing months back! Cheers!

A required Mod to any JK build

I've owned and used this product for about 9 months now. I run 38's with 5.13s in Colorado and use my JKU both as a weekend warrior and primary daily driver. The 3.6 is a gutless wonder but after using the flashpaq it makes driving the vehicle much better I use the 87 oct program and see a better power band and far better performance over stock. The Crawl mode seems to limit throttle response and smooth out your RPMs which is great for Crawling because I have way more control over my throttle and do a lot less bouncing and spinning. I tried the crawl mode last weekend while doing some snow bashing in the Rocky Mountains and it definitely helped keep me up on top of the snow and that control of the torque kept me driving through with no problems even as the trail leader. In 9 mo's I've not tried all the programs yet but from what I have tried I can tell you that this product is about # 1 on the list of things to buy when starting a JK build.

I waited anxiously for 9 days for this baby to arrive. As soon as the UPS dropped it off I updated it and plugged it in. My 2007 JK no longer feels like a minivan. Throttle response is greatly improved, definitely feel more power. My speedometer finally reads correctly as well. I have only tried the 93 octane tune so far and havent put enough miles on it to check the MPG, but so far so good. My JK sat for over two years when I spun a rod bearing and didn't have the funds to replace the motor at the time. I got it back on the road about 2 months ago and until yesterday it was really underpowered. Thanks Superchips! Eventually I think I will be upgrading to the Traildash.

It's been said that your jeep will eventually adjust but i've only driven my jeep maybe 2 or 3 times since the install and so far it is back to stock form with my sport wrangler on 37's, 4.88 gears, automatic transmission and 3.8 motor. After trying every modification it seems like to be able to drive highway speeds without searching for gears and not being able to hold more than 50 mph, I can easily/ comfortably hold 60 to 65 and get up to speed without even cracking 2500 RPM. I don't drive my jeep like it's a race car and I don't need it to do 100 on the highway so being able to hold 60 to 65 without searching for gears is a huge win for me. But the throttle response is way more responsive now also. Doesn't seem to push the motor any harder either from an RPM standpoint. Hoping that equates to I didn't just put my jeep in a bad spot. I set it up for the 87 octane and did the regear and tire size. That's all I did and it changed everything. I can't say much about it performing with stock gears and 37 tires without any cold air intakes, exhausts, etc... Hope my review helps anyone in my situation.

The power programmer works great it allowed me to resize the tires and the gear ratios as well as adjust for fuel economy or Offroad. It is easy to use and takes only a few minutes to recalibrate my jeep and it fits in the glove box so I can take it with me for an on road/off-road trip. Overall, it is simple, fast, and gets the job done. Thanks

Never lets me down

I bought my first one nearly 5 years ago. It was stolen last year, and I had to run my Jeep on the mileage tune for 6 months until I could save enough for a new one. I bought my second one, and I never leave home without it. From reading DTC's to switching tunes, Ive never been let down my my Flashpaq!!!!

2012 Jeep Wrangler is dead

Flashpaq worked fine for my 2012 Jeep JK for about 1yr. Recently updated the flashpaq & installed tune 87 on Nov 14, 2018, & immediately afterwards my Jeep won't start. I can hear clicking behind radio, glovebox, and fuse box. It is now sitting in the gym parking lot dead. Afraid I am gonna have to spend money for a tow truck and even more money at the delearship. Was supoosed to have 4.88’s installed this coming Saturday but that is not going to happen. Feel like I want to barf

I purchased the F5 6 months ago for my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 and noticed the power gains off the bat. Helped firm up shifts and shift points. Rated 3 stars due to not being able to calibrate my tire size and not being able to use the gauge or data log features. Hopeing this will be fixed with an update. Otherwise a good product.

I got this because the 3.8 is so anemic and I really realized it when we got my wife a 2015 with the 3.6. I did not want to do an exhaust or a CAI and decided to give this a try. So I did a quick test of a street start from 1500 to 5000 rpm and the 87 tune was almost half a second faster than stock. I am now running the 93 tune and I can feel that it is faster above 3000 rpm when I am passing someone. It seems to take about a week of driving for the Jeep to "get used" to the tune. Overall I am happy with the purchase. It's not like dropping a Hemi but 10+% increase for the price is not a bad tradoff. Haven't needed the tire size switch yet but it will be coming soon with the next set.

Every function I have used or experimented with have worked as operated. My JK Rubicon is an automatic and the only function i wish it had that is doesn’t is a means to firm up the shifts a bit. The 93 octane tune helped get my 35’s up these mountain highways in North Georgia without nearly as much downshifting before the tune. I am very pleased overall with this tuner.

Flashpaq is dead for any Jeep JK in California. California requires an update to the PCM for emissions purposes and it is incompatible with the latest Flashpaq software. California will hold registration without it, so there is no choice but to accept it. After that update is installed, the Flashpaq fails to recognize the vehicle and will no longer allow. I called support and they are unwilling to update their software, so beware if you are required to have a PCM update in California or if Jeep makes this update standard -- you will be able to set your tire size and not much else. Your $400 investment is gone.

Getting 18mpg with 35" tires and it has a little extra pep. It's worth the money to step up to the flashpaq IMO. No complaints. The only improvement I would ask for is a better user manual. There are a lot of features you can adjust so it would be nice to have a short description of them in the user manual.

Great For Towing

I bought this a few weeks ago after for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler in hopes of improving towing of my 17' travel trailer and improving shift performance. I've only tried the regular performance setting and 93 octane towing settings so far and I've noticed the biggest difference while towing - I have way more towing power! The regular performance setting has also improved the throttle responsive and brought back the power as I'm now running 33" tires. I love the option of being able to scan for codes especially when travelling and I'm unable to stop for a scan at the dealer. A lot of the other features are already available for changing through my Jeep but there are a few other neat features which I haven't yet felt the need to adjust.

I purchased the F5 Flashpaq looking for better performance. I installed the 91 octane tune and hardly noticed a difference... I guess I need to play around with it a little more for other features...

A few months back I bought bigger tires for my Jeep and I had no idea how much they would drag the Jeep down I finally broke down and bought the Superchip and am I ever glad that I did performances let's say amazing and it shifts gears like it used to which is much better than what it was doing I would recommend this Superchip to anyone owning a Jeep at the moment I'm getting 2 miles a gallon more per hour then I was I would say it is well worth every penny

Worked perfectly to get my jeep tuned in for bigger tires. Corrected shift points and increased economy. Only complaint was shipping was a little slower than expected especially since I bought it straight from the site. Either way, a must to have if your planning on modifications to your jeep.

I bought the flashpaq about a month ago and I’m happy with it so far.. easy to use and understand.. only thing that upset me was at the fact that the website said they were giving grab handles with the purchase and when it arrived I did not receive them when I called they said the promotion ended in July, which is understandable but why would they have it posted in their website still in November.

I wish I knew ahead of time what this product could and couldn't do for my Jeep before I bought it. I can't even use it as a scanner and the choices of modifications are very limited. I can't recommend this to a friend not knowing what features work or don't work with a particular car, truck or SUV that my friend owns. Not worth the price I paid and now I see there is a $50 rebate which makes me more upset.

Doesn’t work

I bought this for my 08 JK after installing larger tires. The “tunes” seem to install fine, though I’m not noticing much difference in performance. My big complaint is the “quick options”. I have two things I’d like to change and neither of them work. When attempting to disable the TPMS or the door lock chirp the Flashpaq displays “update failed” and makes a sick squeak sound. Could have saved a couple hundred bucks and just bought an AEV ProCal.

Have been using for about a month in 2011 Wrangler JK. Easy to use interface. Pleased with 87 octane tune. Performance increase is acceptable (it's a Jeep). Haven't tried the higher octane tunes or crawl tune. Like quick option customization, but only 4 stars because it won't customize to run fog lights with high beams as claimed. Would recommend for those looking for a little increase in performance with ability to make tire size adjustments and a few other tweaks.

To my understanding I was supposed to have a 93 tune. Under the manual it says this varies. Under another part is says it will fully support basic bolt ons basically. Than on another part says it may not support basic bolt ons. What gives... than not only do I not have a 93 octane tune there is 0 improvement in any shifting AT ALL. Performance feels a tad better maybe but honestly for 400 bucks with all the advertised features than hidden in the manual a ton of discrepancys. No option for a custom tune? Is this a joke? My ancient x3 will be the replacement if I have to return this 3874 cause atleast even though it's for fords i can have any make or model tuned on it /rant over . Firstly I wanna ask. WHY is there no 93? Around here we dont get 91. Its 87 89 or 93 unless I drive 30 sum Miles just to get 91 for 20 cents cheaper. I didnt update it but I have now and will check it out again. However what are these updates even for? If we cant load custom tunes and the tunes are now only focused on the wranglers it seems... what good is it to me? Any gain? Any new feature I wont have? Any difference in tuning itself? I dont understand the updates if make and models are set in stone per device # and already loaded with tunes? Im okay with the engine or maybe it's just my imagination. Everything else though theres nothing. Just tire calibration and an idle adjustment seriously after all the marketed features? And the flash cal to flash paq upgrades. THE SAME DEVICE I mean what gives here this is garbage and I'm pretty upset I spent almost 400$ on a device that will only do a generic tune and MIGHT except a bolt on or 2 with not 1 feature I couldnt correct myself. I'm trying to make it feel like it was worth it but I think for the features obtained... or really just 1 feature that a 100$ custom tune wouldve gave me better performance and the same features... on a way way way way older device. Tell me I did something wrong here otherwise it's going back to the parts store it came from. Tryed update no difference. 04 grand cherokee laredo 4x4 4.7l v8 vin n non ho.

I am using the 93 octane program. Power gain is great, corrected nagging down shifting issues at highway speeds and increased MPG by about 2 MPGs. PCM swap was easy and went without issue. Have had program installed for 6 months whish I would have done it sooner. Also used programmer to clear code set from installing new lift kit. Could not be happier!!!!!

I've had this product for two years now and couldn't be happier. Eco mode for my work commute saves me 3 miles a gallon! When I 4wheel I just swap to the 91 tune and have all the power back and more! I recommend superchips to all of my friends. Flashpaq for Jeep cannot be beat!

2002 Grand Cherokee (WJ) 4.7L

I am really happy with this purchase for my '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (4.7L). I was searching for methods to correct the speedometer and this met the bill. I was able to sized it up quickly and flip in .25" intervals until I was able to match my speedo to GPS successfully. Additionally, after putting the 87 Octane tune on it I noticed an improvement in the crispness of shifting, and the butt dyno suggest better throttle response. Checking and clearing engine codes also worked as expected. The device is sturdy and comes with plenty of cable if you want to mount it somewhere. I would have loved a Bluetooth or wireless variant, but this does the job quickly and easily.

Limited usefulness for Jeep 4.6 (so far)

My major concern and ultimate goal was to get my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.6 to not up shift to OD at lower speeds (under 35 mph) . Since I bought the car (expecting similar performance to my 2000 Dodge Dakota w/Superchips upgrade that gave me a 38% increase in fuel economy and unbelievable performance enhancements.) it (2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee) has consistently gone into "fuel economy mode", lugging the engine down to 1100-1200 RPM @ 35-40 MPH. The engine actually stutters, shaking the body and I'm sure contributing to the constant black oil on the dipstick. (My Dodge @ 115K miles will retain clear synthetic oil for at least 1500 miles after an oil change. The Jeep gets the same treatment regularly when indicated. Usually 3-4K miles. Apparently the Jeep programs have preset shift points at different tune levels and tuning for 93 octane seems to revert to stock transmission programing with the commensurate lugging at lower speeds. NG! I am not a docile driver and accelerate and brake according to traffic conditions, attempting to pass Left Lane Bandits and Pokey Slows in my travels and avoid congestion. I guess I am trying to duplicate my Dakota's performance (Superchipped) with the extra power and modern emissions (dual plugs, among other things) of my 2008 Jeep. So far, the improvements are rather blah. More to come!

I bought this for my JK 3.8L. It is lifted with 35" wheels on it. The power was sluggish after the lift and wheels, and my speedo was off. I did a triple shot on it and got the throttle body spacer, CAI, and the tuner. After installing everything, tuning the Jeep, and calibrating the rest of the system, my Jeep runs awesome now. Great top end on the highway, nice torque on the low side, and MPH saw great improvement on top of the additional power. Love it!!

Worth it, little frustrating but worth every penny

I purchased this and had some issues out of the gate. My biggest gripe would be the process is not outlined very well between the on screen and manual directions. Customer support got the issue figured out and I'm up and running. I'm running the 85 octane millage program and have picked up 1.2 to 2 mpg's. pretty impressive considering I have a 20gal tank and a thirsty Hemi. I seem to have settled in at 14 mpg combined. Slightly better than what I would average with 89 octane. This has extended my millage enough to where I can go an extra day or two before visiting the gas station.

Bought this for my 2007 Wrangler and 2006 Cherokee. Works on both, but gets VIN locked to one Jeep, upon use; I can't use it for both. In hindsight I should have bought the Diablo tuner as they only charge an extra $99 to program an additional vehicle, rather than requiring you buy another unit. All in all it's quite nice. Easy menu system, loads of options. Since I have one already, I'll buy another for my other Jeep.

I have a 2013 2dr jk sport 6 speed manual with 1.5 leveling kit from teraflex af MB 352 wheels 18x9 with 33x11 (275/70r18) falken wildpeaks at3w and I started with the 87 tune and got power and some mpg increase then on next full up I got 92 havent found 93 octane yet so fill it up and drove like that for awhile then next full up I did the 91 tune and got more power and mpg went up to 21 on avg and now I'm currently on the tow tube for pulling my trailor and quad and I'm at 18 mpg avg and I dont even notice my load behind the jeep it's only around 1k yo 1300lbs pulling but it dont have a issue I live in central West Virginia its hilly and I put it in 5th OB the highway and leave it on cruise at 68 to 70 mph 2300 rpms and it just goes with minimal slowing down best thing I have bought so far a must by before all of this I was avg 14 mpg sometimes a bit lower

I was very hesitant due to cost but it truly is worth the $$. Throttle response alone is worth it. Takes the 3.8L and brings it to life. I love how easy and straight forward it is. Don’t think twice just hit order and enjoy the fun.

This is exactly what is described! If you are looking to make your Jeep into Hot Rod then this won't work, but neither will the 6 cyl. engine that is in it. If you are looking to optimize the performance of your factory motor then this is the programmer for you. I added a cold air intake and a high flow exhaust to my Jeep before ordering this programmer because I wanted to see how much of a difference each component made on their own. The cold air intake and exhaust made everything smoother, but the Flashpaq took my Jeep to a whole different level. I got noticeable power gains and through (3) tanks of fuel I have gained approximately 2.6 mpg. The biggest difference I notice is when I downshift to pass my Jeep actually has the power to quickly get around the other cars.

Bought the F5 3874 for my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 The unit will not connect to the vehicle and says "Contact Customer Service" after a 30-minute wait on an International Phone Call, "Sorry your vehicle is not supported" Now that the box is open, and the unit plugged in, I cannot return it for a refund. A complete waste of $400 for the unit and $65 for the phone call. Save your money people! this Company is a scam and their gizmos ARE TRASH. Most importantly, they will not help you once they have your money.

I purchased this after changing out my stock tires to 33s but it ultimately saved me a trip to the mechanic after getting a check engine light on the dash. After plugging in the FlashCal, it gave me a code of a faulty oil pressure sensor, which I was able to repair. The FlashCal is so easy to use and I’ve noticed greater gas mileage and smoother shifting. Such a great product.

Big Difference

I installed a throttle body spacer and cold air intake but only got a slight improvement in throttle response and some noise. It wasn’t until I uploaded the 91 octane program from flashpaq that I saw significant results. My only complaint is that it didn’t offer much other than the 91 octane setting. I was hoping it would also have the 98 octane setting and the extreme setting available (I think that’s what it was called) but it was worth the investment. My 2000 Jeep is faster than when I first purchased it.

I purchased this almost a year ago I have taken the time to use it and figure out what it can and can't do I was a little let down to know in order to use my lockers in high range that the programmer had to be on and plugged in. I found that putting the drive by wire throttle control all the way to its most touchyiest setting well it's extreamly touchy. I love the crawl tune but it does take some time to reprogram every time I want to use it. But no longer then the rest of the guys airing down and to program it back after crawling wile the guys air it up. It comes with a ton of features and things you can adjust and turn on and off like that pesky tpms light. Over all I would purchase this again now looking to get one for the wife's jeep

I have been using the programmer for my 2009 Jeep Wrangler for the last 6 months. I have used the 87 performance tune and the economy tune. The performance differeceived with the 87 tune is noticable. Improved pedal response and quicker transmission shift points have made my JK get up and move. Also used the programmer to change lighting settings and TPS for off road use. I would recommend this tuner for every JK owner. I also have installed a cold air intake and cat back exhaust system. The tuner adds more to these performance upgrades.

I bought a Flashcal for changing my speedo for 35" tires and being able to shut off the TPMS sensors for tire pressure at 8lbs. at the Dunes years ago. Just today after a few years I upgraded my Flashcal to a Flashpaq. I changed the tune to 91 octane (even though I'm running 89). Then I changed the Pedal response just to Moderate for a Lets See. Just off that change there is no more lag in the pedal. It's CRAZY an just off that it's got more get n go. I'll run it like this for awhile then change it an try another setting. Also Customer Service is Fastastic *****. Needed help with the upgrade and Conrad Is The Man!!! Thank you, Bob South Bend, IN '12 Jeep JKU

I bought this for 2013 JK. Had done lift and 35" tires. After programming, the Jeep was like a new vehicle. Shifting was smoothed out and the bogging down feeling it had went away. Mileage increased also.

Bought this a month or so ago primarily for speedo healing but also to try the fuel maps and make some other adjustments. This was needed due to moving to 5:13 gears and 35 inch tires. Started off with 92 octane custom tune wherein you set the attributes you want, select the tune. It saves the existing tune and it loads the new tune with the new tweaks all at once. On the first two attempts it crashed while it was trying to clear the codes. This may have been due to the TPMS sensors not registering the tires so it could never clear the code. It finally took however. Don't know why it worked the third time but it has been working every time since. Works great for gear, tire size, TPMS disable and power off timeout. Have yet to get it to work for increasing RPM. Wanted to move to 800 from 700 at idle and it acts like it works while plugged in as it does increase the RPM. It always resets back to 700 however. On the tune, I have a manual transmission. It does seem like there is a bit more power but it is hard to tell. I've always had to ring its neck (drive it hard to higher RPM's before shifting) to get it to get out of its own way. Nothing has really changed in that regard and with the gear and tire size change I've managed to get the mileage down to 13.8. None of the tunes seem to increase MPG. With an auto transmission I hear the difference is greater due to the changing shift points. In general it is a necessary tool in the Jeep toolbox if you are going to tinker with your Jeep. And really, what other reason is there for owning a Jeep beyond its tinker toy value.

This will be a two part review: the first focusing on the tuner and the second on a major issue that I have with the product: Tuner: -Feature Rich -REALLY wakes up the JK -Easy to use (with one big caveat, see below) -Well built physical unit Issue: The Ignition software (which is integral to having the latest tune on your vehicle) is SEVERELY lacking. It's slow; it's clunky; it's not well done. The biggest issue I have is when it comes to uninstalling the tune from your vehicle. This process is poorly documented and there isn't a good test to ensure it is unlocked besides plugging it into another vehicle. I reverted the Jeep back to stock before it was sold and everything looked like it was fine and that my Superchips tuner would be unlocked for use with another JK. I give the tuner to my friend and the tuner was still VIN-locked to my JK that was sitting at the dealership already. I decided to just pay the $100 to unlock it, but the Ignition software is very poorly done. It wouldn't recognize the device on multiple machines or would error out when updating. Once I finally was able to get it updated, the only option that I was offered was to buy an extended warranty. I understand the reasoning for the VIN-lock, but the process for unlocking is not well defined or clearly done. Having the pay the $100 because of ambiguous unlocking guidelines/confirmations was annoying enough, but now I cannot even do that. That is frustrating and soured the experience.

I got a 3.5" lift with 35" tires on my Jeep and noticed through GPS devices that my speedometer was off by about 3mph. Before going to the installers I decided to do some research and found that i should buy a tuner vs having someone else do it. After researching different tuners I found that I liked this product the best because it was simple to use as described by others on YouTube, so much so that I was willing to pay a higher price for this than to go cheap with other products. What's best, is that this product comes with some extra tunes that I wasn't expecting, like Rock Crawl tune and Efficient MPG tune. I expected my MPG to go down by a lot with my new lift, but with the MPG tune I only lost 1-2 mpg! I'm so happy I bough this, with an easy to read screen. I never had to look at a book to see what setting I needed to put on the device before using it on my Jeep because it's all on the screen! Plugged it in once, it saved my stock config and then I was able to change anything I wanted. I'm already suggesting to my friends they get this if they do a lift of any kind, and I'll be buying more on any future Jeep build.

Just got this yesterday. Done an update online before using as I have read that you really need to do that first. Plugged it in and picked the mods that I wanted or needed. First I changed the tire size to the oversize tires on my jeep by measuring from the ground to the top of the tire and that set the speedometer and odometer, it is now dead on the money. This improved shifting on the automatic transmission considerable also. Next after making sure I had a full tank of 93 octane fuel in the tank I set it to the 93 octane performance setting. Went on a 400+ mile trip today that consisted of highway and dirt roads as well as some idle speed driving on a wildlife refuge. The engine is no longer sluggish and I don't have to press the gas peddle near as much to make it up hills on the highway and my gas millage has Improved about 4 to 5 mpg. It ran smooth and peppy with no overheating or pinging. Got on it pretty hard one time on a sandy dirt road and I'm happy to say that I am quite pleased with the product. The only thing I wish it would do is let you choose the air pressure on the TPMS instead of just on or off. Haven't tried the crawl setting yet but will when the going gets rough. Haven't tried the fuel save with 87 octane either but am getting better millage anyway with better performance. That's about it for now. I'm happy so far.

I had an old tuner that died. I was fortunate to have the Jeep already set to factory. I noticed that my fuel economy went way south. I purchased the F5 Jeep Flashpaq to give it a try. I have been very pleased. Gas Mileage has greatly improved. I am using the fuel economy config. I recommend this to all Jeep enthusiasts.

This is an amazing product. My MPG with 18 inch wheels (on the 2012 JK Sport) was 15.5 . It is now 19.3-20.3 (with big mud tires). I am also able to adjust for my wheel size (speedometer is correct now), and read codes (already had the oil pump code come up). It is easy to use and will pay for itself.

We put a lift kit and 34” tires on our 2008 wrangler. At first l didn’t like how the vehicle seemed to be struggling on the highway. We put the 87 octane tune in and reset the shift points and it drives like a different vehicle.

I bought this mainly to adjust my speedo for bigger tires... it does allow me to change tunes based on fuel octane. I wish there were more options for things like backup camera enablement, turn signal flash count, and better options for daytime running lights.

Setup was easy after updating. The update program takes s little time to load and leaves you hanging in limbo, ie no screen changes so you do not know what just happened. Also do not expect to get any confirmation that your flahpaq was registered. No reply from the alleged $50 rebate either. 3 stars from me for a working product.

Essential if you have a lift with bigger tires

In fall of 2015 I upgraded the tires on my Jeep to 4x Duratrac 285/70/17 and threw on 1.5" Spidertrax spacers so I could use the stock wheels. Drove it that way for a couple years and it was totally fine... Last year I installed a 2.5" lift and noticed a dramatic change in performance for the worse. I guess the weight of bigger springs, beefier shocks, longer sway bar end links, geometry correction brackets, rear trackbar bracket, and heavy duty tailgate reinforcement/hinges didn’t help. There was a tremendous loss in torque, as well as the trans shifting hesitantly and having to play with the accelerator more on the highway. Of course my gas mileage suffered as well. Perused the Wrangler Forums for articles about lifts and performance, and discovered that I was supposed to reprogram the computer for larger tire size (doh!), so that brought me into researching programmers. This past fall It was time for new tires so I wanted to do things right, and decided on the Flashpaq because I was curious about the engine tunes. Got my new Duratracs and reprogrammed the tire size to 32” (measured from the ground to the top of tread) and went with the 87 octane tune before a ski trip. WOW! I almost forgot what my Jeep rode like when I first pulled it out of the lot. The power is there again, and the timing of the trans shift points feels much smoother, especially on the highway. This device is essential if you want to lift your vehicle and add bigger tires.

I've used Superchips in the past and loved it on my 06 5.9 Cummins. Installed on an 02 Grand Cherokee with 4 7 HO motor. Stock California tune netted approx 16.5 mpg in town/ urban diving and 24 flat hwy at 65mph. Driveabilty wasn't that great. Touchy pedal and abrupt power from a stop and hit a wall at 3000 rpm. With the Superchips 87 octane tune power felt stronger but much smoother acceleration. Shifting to 4th ? Would kinda hit hard under normal acceleration. The jeep didn't hit a wall at 3000 rpm but you could feel a dip in power. Mpg was slightly better in town, but not by much. Maybe 2 or 3 tenths of a gallon. Hwy about the same. With the mileage xs tune, it had a little less power than the 87 octane but was strong enough. The 4.7 makes a lot of low end Torque. Acceleration was strong and smooth with more of a dip in power around 3000 rpm. Mirrored the 87 octane tune with less power. Around town mpg went up to about 18 mpg. Haven't done a full hwy run, but the instant mpg on short hwy runs around 65 mph look to be 25 mpg. There aren't any adjustments for shift points , the Superchips programming is decent except for that 4th gear? shift in the 87 octane tune. Going to keep running the mileage xs tune with 91 octane. Disability is much better with a nice boost in mpg.
