Hemi Time!

The 5.9 Magnum developed a leaky freeze plug... the one between the rear of the engine and transmission. The original plan was to pull the engine to replace all of the freeze plugs, and while I had it out do some head porting, an intake swap and replace the torque convertor with a higher stall unit. Then I located a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 that had definitely seen better days. Of course it followed me home - on a trailer. The 6.1 has 270,000 miles and the dreaded hemi-tick, which necessitates a teardown. Once I get the Hemi repairs/rebuild completed the new and improved 6.1 may just replace the old 5.9 Magnum.
