The story

Well, I have owned this car since 1977. So kinda long history, I bought it from one of my friends that had wanted to build it but just couldn't make it happen. It was really rough but a solid car still, in a basket minus a bunch of stuff lol. We had went to look at it for parts for another one he had then, and he wanted to cut the quarters off of this one for it. I convinced him to keep this car and get rid of the other car and helped him swap the tilt column into it that he wanted and 2-3 yrs later .. He still has not been able to do any more and needed some $ so that's how I ended up with it. I got it home and went to work, I traded for a drivers door and fender, beat out the passenger fender. Found a parts car that had a good hood, and my local junkyard got a 68 Lemans in and went 10 dollar day on me Lmao.. Hood, Bumper complete, Valance panel with lights, all for $30. Man I wish I had had more cash back then and got a lot more stuff like that. First engine was a 455 from a 69 Toro, one of my friends had that tossed the timing chain at my house even.. another $50. there. I replaced the timing gears and chain, cleaned out the pan and drilled the crank out to run a 4-speed. That engine was great ! I had so much fun with that one and the 4-speeds ran in the 13's. It was too much for the Muncie's and the stock 10 bolt rears. New Olds 462 with a T-400 and now a 12bolt rear was running really good ran 11.98-12.0 and found out the 12 bolt pos. units don't like slicks lol.. added a Spool, axles, and new gear. Built a new 468 Olds engine and went to the M/T 10.5 W tires and that ran 10.83 first pass really strong runner but it was killing the mains if I used the Transbrake. Decided to pull it and wait until I could address that issue and that was when life got in the way. That was in 2002 the car has sat in the garage for the last 20 years until last year I decided to rebuild the old Dinosaur again. That was what some Mustang guy called it just before it ate his little horse lol. Or my best friend then wouldn't ride in it after one ride and called it "The Chiropractor" Lol I kinda liked that one.
