The D100 story

By: Audie 02/14/2023

As a kid growing up in Southern California, I spent some time with my Grandfather. He owned a 1988 Dodge D100, brown, all original, bought new. He took me everywhere in it, and I worked on it with him. He loved the truck and so did I.

He was diagnosed with Cancer, that spread like wildfire, and overtook him within months.

The vultures came, and every item in his possession was removed, and filtered out to his wife's family. I know in my heart that he would have left the D100 to me...but that did not happen. Rather then make waves and churn up bad blood, I let it go.

I searched and seeked out a 1988 D100, Short bed 2wd. This build is a tribute to him, and a collaboration of our interests, regarding the hot rod and muscle car aspect, and the Mopar and D100 original truck that he loved.

So, ill begin this custom build starting off with a heart transplant (1967 440) and updated suspension and modifications to suit my own interests...

God bless you Grandpa, may you rest in peace.

In loving memory of Samuel Kent Draper
