Vehicle Overview

Hello, my name is Vauline (pronounced V-awe-leen), and I am a 1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 4-Door Sedan. I am named after my original owners, Vaughn and Pauline, the late grandparents of my current owner. Vaughn ordered me at Wilson's Chevrolet (now defunct) in Morgantown, WV. I have been garage kept since I arrived, and driven mostly in nice weather. I have been in storage since 2008, when Vaughn stopped driving me. Sadly, Vaughn passed away in 2012; at which point, Pauline gave me to my current owner. Pauline later passed away in 2015 prior to my current owner being able to get me running again. Speaking of running, I was back on the road briefly in 2016. After I passed my inspection, had a roof liner replacement and seat repaired, a rear freeze plug in my engine began leaking; so my current owner, and his dad, started working on me again. My current owner decide that it may be best to do a complete rebuild; however, after further inspection, it was later determined that it would be more cost effective to replace it instead. Since then, it has been a slow process getting things going in that direction, but some progress has been made.

Future Plans

My current owner is still ironing out all the future plans for me. As much as he would like to keep me as original as possible, given my history, not everything I need has an OE replacement option; so he has to take a little creative licensing with what he does. His goal is for those changes to be both respectful and tasteful, and if possible, look like they could have been a part of me originally when and if possible. Please check back for updates, and my owner will start working on my Wishlist soon.
