Vehicle Overview

I bought this car in 2004. It was hacked up pretty bad to try to make it a strip car. The body, other than the "modifications" was in immaculate condition. No rust anywhere. I needed to replace the inner front and rear wheel wells, the fire wall, cowl, and the dash pan. The ggd thing is I learned how to weld! The SB 400 I used for the build was the best of the four that I found. X-ray showed a minimum 0f 250 thou. thickness at the base of the cylinders. Took it to Houston Machine and balance for the balancing. Scat cam, disk pistons, roller rockers. I decided on Vortek heads due to the valve size to get the HP I was looking for. A 680 Holley was on top,a700R4 in the middle and a 10 bolt 373 The car ran well but too many problems with the carb. After investigating fuel injection systems, I decided to go with the Viper throttle body, in tank fuel pump (stock tank) and the Hyperspark EFI. Words cannot do justice the the change in performance. Frickin' amazing. A totally new car. I had no idea it would run this great. Thanks Holley!!

Future Plans

After 14 years of piddling around with the car, and getting the engine running properly, I am taking it in next week for a three stage top coat tinted clear followed by a clear coat. It's gunna be my daily driver!! Yay!!
