    I purchased this 1974 Vega Estate wagon about 10 years ago. It was a one owner car. I spent a couple of years doing restoration and de-rusting on the body and then painted it back to its original color and trim. The interior was also restored back to original. The engine is a 350 with a mild cam, the transmission is a 700R4 and the rear end is an S10 with 373 positraction. The front spindles are an S10 swap. The carb is a Holley 650 double pumper. This is a great car to drive. I have had it at numerous car shows and have won a number of awards. It gets a lot of smiles and comments. A year ago there was a drag race held at a local airport. I took the Vega out to give it a run and was lined up against a new 5.0 mustang. The Vega was a real sleeper.
