    My Father bought the vehicle in 2001 as the second owner when I was 8 and together we have made many memories in it. 3 years after he bought it a distributior fire left the old jeep sitting wasting away. Most 16 year old kids get their first cars as hand me downs or good grades, but for me it was a story that isnt told very often any more. It was a battle of sweat, blood , greese and hard work. All for a promise that if I could revive the old Jeep it was mine. Finialy 7 years after the fire in Feburary 2011, The AMC 401 Came to life with a roar and as I sat behind the wheel for the first time and shifted the Turbo 400 into reverse I knew this was my first and forever car. It has been 19 years now and Over the years it has gone from stock to lifted, engine swapped, shift kit added, exaust upgrade, cooling system upgrade, and has even had a complete electrical system overhaul. With many more upgrades in mind, this is sure to be a great project for years to come and hopefully will be part of a story my kids will tell someday.
