These extremely bright LED 194 bulbs add extra light to the instrumentation of your classic truck. These are direct replacements for your original style #194 candescent bulbs. The unique design provides all around brightness without dead angles to achieve 360 degree lighting. Smart IC constant-current source supplies a stable current for each bulb. These bulbs are an easy upgrade to your gauge cluster. Note: 1967-1972 clusters take up to 9 bulbs and 1973-1987 clusters take up to 14 bulbs. Sold in a pack of (10) pieces.

a nice addition, but not perfect, not really dimmable

Install: 72 Chevy C10 Cheyenne with 70k original, garage kept miles. First, these should not be categorized as dimmable, but the dimmer on these 67-72s was never fantastic by any means. However, I was told by a Brother's representative that these are dimmable. Installed, I might be able to see it dim if I use a bit of a wild imagination. Yes it might dim, but most people will likely not notice a difference. Really, it's either on or off. What makes these nice, is that it adds a modern touch of being able to see your gauges without any issue. They are not as bright as a new car. I would say they are as bright as a brand new car's lowest setting as most cars are uber bright IMO. For install, In most circumstances, you'll only need four bulbs however. It only takes four to illuminate your dash bezel. All the others are turn signals, hi-beam, brake and temp (those in your fuel gauge) that have the full instrumentation. This is truly plug and play. Some people comment on issues with LEDs, something about polarity. I don't get it; just put them in and turn the lights on. For what it's worth, these are different bulbs than the heater-A/C controls. that takes two 1445 bulbs in a/c, or just one for non-a/c. I have yet to find a pair, but I see those are out there at unknown resellers. My pictures are what I feel the most accurate. Yes they appear dark, maybe a bit more than what it actually was. I captured: off, bright and dim settings. BTW, these should be interchangeable with your four corner marker lights, but I have not tried that.
