MoParty 2024 was graced with a special guest who took everyone on a trip down memory lane. Catherine Bach, famed for her iconic role as Daisy Duke in the beloved television series The Dukes of Hazzard, made a memorable appearance at the Mopar Connection magazine and Auto Metal Direct booths.
Her role as Daisy Duke helped bring fame and reverence to the Dodge Charger, which is now a cherished symbol of American muscle and rebellion. The character's signature “Daisy Dukes” cut-off denim shorts have become a cultural phenomenon, cementing Bach’s place in automotive and television history.
Bach’s visit to MoParty was a delightful reminder of how TV and automotive culture intersect. Her role as Daisy Duke not only defined an era of television but also left an indelible mark on the automotive world. As MoParty continues to grow and celebrate Mopar vehicles, Bach’s appearance served as a nostalgic nod to the iconic muscle cars that have shaped the industry.
This year at MoParty, Holley technical training specialist Harrison Alford was on hand to demonstrate the complete Sniper 2 EFI product line. In his presentation, he discussed Sniper 2 components, how they work together, and how easy they are to setup on vintage cars. Alford also showed attendees the various options available for Sniper 2 users, and how these different configurations allow car owners to tailor their Holley EFI setup to their exact needs.
Sniper 2 is a popular choice for owners of classic Mopars who are upgrading from traditional carburetors to modern EFI. With the complete system integrated into a compact 4150-pattern four-barrel throttle-body unit, Sniper 2 is caveman simple to install, and it delivers reliable, consistent performance in a wide range of conditions.
The Holley Sniper clinic at MoParty was both entertaining and educational, and those in the audience appreciated the detailed inside look at the system. With the success of the presentation, it’s likely that Holley will further these demonstrations in future events, continuing the company’s rich tradition of simplifying innovative technologies and making them more accessible to everyone.
It wouldn’t be MoParty without a grand spectacle of mayhem and destruction. This year, Allen Pezo delivered the insanity with his legendary monster truck, Predator. Allen Pezo, a name synonymous with monster truck thrills, has been crushing it since his teenage years. Over the years, Pezo has become a staple in the monster truck world, with Predator making its mark at numerous events and competitions. Known for his precision and flair, Pezo took to the track with his mighty machine.
For the first time at MoParty, fans also had the chance to experience a ride in a monster truck, as the crew brought another truck fitted with six rear seats.
A high-spirited, rebellious group like Mopar fans are bound to have a look all their very own. And nothing symbolizes that attitude better than the venerable mullet hair style. With its “Business in front, party in back” proportions, the mullet is a blank canvas for personal expression.
The MoParty mullet contest celebrates those free-wheeling Mopar fans proud to sport this iconic style. The contest features a category for those with genuine, real-deal mullets, and a separate class for those who dabble in the style with wigs. Both are a lively counterpoint to the bland non-Mopar world outside the gates of Beech Bend Raceway Park this weekend.
