1972-1974 Dodge W100 - Gen III Hemi Swap

In 1972, the W100 received a complete redesign that lasted until 1980. With it came more rounded styling cues borrowed from contemporary Mopar cars. An extended cab was optional for the first time ever on any pickup. Although you could option your truck with a wide range of small and big-block V8s, today you can drop in a Gen III Hemi with our swap systems.

Step 1: Engine and Transmission Mounts

  • Designed for use with engine swap headers/and or exhaust to ensure a trouble free install!
  • Choose from Factory Engine Location or 1-inch forward
  • The factory Bell-Housing Location Simplifies Swap Since Transmission, Transfer Case, Transmission Crossmember & Driveshafts Can Be Re-Used
  • Compatible with NP435, NP445, and A727 Transmissions

Step 2: Oil Pans

  • The Recommended Oil Pan is the factory Dodge Truck Rear Sump Pan
  • If You Didn't Get the Factory Rear Sump Pan on Your Donor Engine - The Parts are Available Here
  • Choose the Oil Pan Gasket Based on Engine Size (5.7L or 6.4L)

Step 3: Swap Accessories

  • The 45-Degree or 90-Degree Oil Filter Adapter is Needed for Oil Filter Clearance
  • If Your Donor Engine Didn't Include this Adapter - it is Available Here
  • Drive By Wire Accelerator Pedal Bracket fits 1972-1993 Dodge W100/W150
  • Use with 145-312 Pedal or Mopar # 4861716AE (2007-2022 Dodge Charger Pedal)
  • Ideal for Use with Holley EFI Systems

Step 4: Drivetrain

  • Special Flex Plate Adapts A727, A904, A500 & A518 (46RH/46RE) Transmissions (small block) & Torque Converter to Gen III Hemi Engine
  • 130 Tooth Flywheel Fits the NP435 and NP445 Manual Transmisison
  • Both of these Options fit the 8-Bolt Crankshaft for the Gen III Hemi Engine

Step 5: Fuel Tanks

  • Eliminate Rust & Dirt with a New Fuel Tank
  • Factory Style Fuel Tanks with In-Tank EFI Fuel Module
  • EFI Fuel Pump Modules are Also Available Separately - Fits Inside Stock Tank

Step 6: Accessory Drives

  • Mid-Mount Accessory Drive Systems Pull the Accessories in Tight for Extra Clearance & Reduce Power Steering Pressure to Avoid Damage to the Steering Box
  • Factory Car Accessory Drive Systems Can be Modified with Alternator Relocation Kits (for extra Clearance) and Power Steering Kits to Reduce Power Steering Pressure (to Avoid Damage to Steering Box)
