1967-1969 Pontiac Firebird - LS Swap

Pontiac entered the pony car race in 1967 with the Firebird and its Trans Am variant. The Firebird's integrated bumpers gave it a sleeker look than its Camaro sibling. Even though it was the less-heralded of the F-Body siblings, the Firebird packed quite a punch in a small package with 326, 350, and 400 cubic-inch Pontiac powerplants available. If you prefer a more modern means of motivation, our Gen III/IV LS swap systems are just what the doctor ordered.

Step 1: Engine and Transmission Mounts

  • Mount the GM LS Engine in your 1967-1969 Camaro or Firebird
  • Transmission Crossmember Options: 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L75E, 4L80E, 4L85E, 200R4, 700R4, Powerglide, T56, T56 Magnum, TH350, or TH400
  • Designed For Use w/ Swap Oil Pans, Headers, and Exhaust Systems Designed for This Application
  • Easy Bolt-in Installation of your Gen III/IV LS engine

Step 2: Oil Pans

  • Factory oil pans don't fit or they hang too low on engine swaps
  • Engine swap oil pans provide maximum clearance to the chassis and ground
  • OE (Original Equipment) style fitment for durability, strength, and proper sealing
  • Choose from natural aluminum casting, carbon black ceramic finish, or fabricated sheetmetal depending on the application
  • Complete kit with sump baffle, OE style pickup, drain plug, oil filter stud, and oil passage cover

Step 3: Headers and Exhaust

  • Choose From Mid-Length or Long Tube Headers - Available in Stainless Steel or Mild Steel w/ a Variety of Finishes
  • Choose from Headers & Exhaust Systems for a Stock Subframe or Detroit Speed Subframe
  • Choose from 2.5" or 3.0" Dual Exhaust
  • Mid-Length Adapters & Reducers to Complete the System

Step 4: Radiators

  • 100% TIG welded (brazed) seams
  • Billet Aluminum Filler Neck and OEM style Brass Petcock
  • Polished top and tanks for custom show appearance

Step 5: Fuel Tanks

  • Eliminate Rust & Dirt with a New Fuel Tank
  • Factory Style Fuel Tanks with In-Tank EFI Fuel Module
  • EFI Fuel Pump Modules are Also Available Separately - Fits Inside Stock Tank

Step 6: Accessory Drives

  • Choose from High Mount, Low Mount, or Mid Mount Accessory Drive Kits
  • Choose from Natural Aluminum, Black, or Polished Finish
