Low LS Mount A/C brackets and systems require the use of the Sanden SD7 Compressor. This bracket doesn't require an installation kit since it has multiple holes in the bracket for standard, middle and long spacing. The R4 or SD508 compressor can be used w/ the traditional high mount brackets 20-133 or 20-134 (along with the appropriate installation kit 21-1 for Standard, 21-2 for Middle Spacing, and 21-3 for Long Spacing). ***For all LS Engine Swaps-Please refer to your specific body style engine mount kits for additional modification and fitment requirements.

The best LS low mount system by a long shot...

I'm building a mid-engine, LS powered supercar (the SL-C Superlite Coupe) and once I install the firewall, interior and body the only way I can access the AC compressor area is by pulling the engine and trans completely out of the car... which I do NOT want to do again. I needed a solid setup that I was confident in. I first tried another leading brands brackets and theirs as well as others leave a margin for error... of course I would find it. Because of motor mounts and tight spacing I was not able to torque the rear bolt enough to fully seat the slide bushing in the compressor. This caused alignment issues and my belt to jump a rib off the compressor. After huffing and puffing I decided to search for a better option and that's when I came across the Holley bracket. While the others are simply thin, steel brackets the Holley piece is like another piece of car bling... so much in fact I wish it was visible. With this setup you can tap the slide bushings in before installing the compressor (others required installing first and using the torque of the bolts to seat them) and all bolts go in from the front to back of the engine... no reaching around back and fighting the long bolt. That alone is worth it's weight in gold if space is tight. I did have to trim the rear most bolt hole off the mounting bracket as my motor mounts wouldn't allow it but no worries, the main assembly has bolts running through it and into the block for stability. I bolted it on, installed my belt and fired it up... perfect. ZERO room for misalignment. I am WAY more confident in this setup over all the other options on the market and the second you open the box you will be, too. THANK YOU, Holley... I will sleep better at night knowing my low mount AC system is solid.
