With the Sniper 2300, you can put an end to cold start issues, hesitations, vapor lock, and engine flooding on many vehicle applications. Our kit is the easiest way to upgrade to EFI in a cost-efficient package with just four connections to get started. This kit is capable of supporting up to 350 HP naturally aspirated or 285 HP forced induction with (2) 100 lb./hr. fuel injectors. Sniper 2300 was designed to be installed at home in your garage with minimal tools and the support of Holley's comprehensive installation manuals and online videos. The high resolution 3.5” LCD touchscreen user-friendly setup wizard has you answer a few simple questions about your engine and the system will begin self-tuning with no laptop or tuning experience required. For a more comprehensive installation and maximizing performance, check out our HyperSpark Ignition, air cleaners, digital dashes, and complete fuel system kits. This can also be installed on marine applications, please refer to Tech Resources section for more information on the correct and safest way to install.

Ford transmissions may require Holley P/N 20-60 Ford Transmission Hardware Kit for proper installation. For marine installations, a flame arrestor is legally required. We recommend Holley P/N 720-1 or 720-11 Flame Arrestor, along with Holley P/N 720-31 or 720-33 Flame Arrestor Vent Tube to ensure proper function, safety, and compliance.

Will a stock mechanical fuel pump work? What electric pump is recommended?

Answer
Cylde, The stock mechanical fuel pump on your engine will not supply the injectors with the required fuel pressure. we recommend the 12-920 fuel pump for inline solutions. We also have in-tank fuel pumps for various applications. You could also check out the 550-850K Master Kit, it comes with a fuel system.

I know the super sniper 2300 will support boost but I''m wondering if the standard sniper 2300 would also work for a turbocharged application. I have read on forums it is as simple as downloading the super sniper software but would like to know from you guys and girls. Main reason is I''m making an intake to fit one of these and my motor is around 60hp right now(vw bug) so the standard sniper 2300 sounds like it would be more than enough for this little engine:) Thanks again Nate Btw I am already a proud owner of 2 of your sniper kits great r+d they are awesome!

Answer
Yes, they have the same 2.5bar map sensor. But they only have 2 injectors, so your horsepower is going to be very limited. Additionally, there are no additional inputs or outputs for boost control, or fuel pressure/oil pressure monitoring.

The best upgrade so far on my 72 Datsun 510 Wagon!

I own a 1972 Datsun 510 Wagon. It has a V6 engine swap out of a 87 Nissan 300zx with 5spd trans and custom headers, Summit ignitin box. Without going thru the headache of deciphering wires for the computer, there is a place that modifies a Nissan V6 truck TBI manifold to accept a Holley 2300 2bbl carb. I was running the holley 2300 350 cfm carb for years. The performance was great, but in the back of my mind I really wanted fuel injection for the reliability and cold starts in winter. I had my eye on a competitor's 2bbl EFI for months but they couldn't tell me a release date. I just happened to be Googleing 2bbl EFI setups and low and behold Holley had just literally released this 2300 EFI. I immediately made the purchase thru Holley.com and the box arrived in just a couple days. I ordered the 2300 master kit in shiny finish since it was all that was available (I really wanted the black). My son and I opened the box and inventoried the parts list and started the install. The install was very easy, took us 2 days total from opening the box to driving the car. We had only one issue on the install, we had an erratic idle so I got on the Holley Sniper EFI Facebook page and the people on there steered us in the right direction for trouble shooting. Turned out we had a kink on one of our fuel hoses up at the tank that caused the issue. We rerouted that line and fixed the issue. After the easy install, the initial programming was simple on the handheld screen. After that I have been so extremely happy with this purchase that I don't think I will ever go back to a carb again in the future. The performance of my 72 510 Wagon has improved so much it's incredible. Fires up first turn of the key every time without getting in the car, even when it's 16 degrees outside. The butt-dyno says there's a significant power gain and fuel mileage has improved. I am so glad I didn't keep waiting for the other guys EFI to come to market, I'm 100% happy with my new Holley Sniper EFI 2300. I have been recommending the Holley Sniper EFI to a lot of people and the Holley Sniper EFI Facebook page for quick Q&A. Thank you for this awesome product. Chris

1967 F100 Conversion

Bought this unit for my 1967 F100 w a 300 6 6yl. I have experimented with other carb systems on the truck and they never have been the right combo. Awaiting good weather to install. Put the 4bl version on my 66 Pontiac Catalina. Made a world of difference when starting and smooth idle w/o gas smells running me out of the car. Pretty easy to install if you are handy. The gas tank return line was the most difficult part for me.

Got very tired of stalling while on off-road trips....lots of hills and rock cuts. Had planned on a different system, but read about the 2300 Sniper and was sold. ECU is on the throttle body and made for a very simple install. Only complaint is no 90 degree fittings in the kit. Very happy and the Jeep has never run this well.... Gene Gregory

Such a Great way to get fuel injection

I ordered this December 2017, and had it completely installed and running by January 2018, granted I could've done it all in a weekend as long as I had everything prepped and ready to go, and life permits, super easy to install, instructions are great and clear, quality of everything supplied in the kit is fantastic, I only had 2 issues with the kit, one being no brass bushing is supplied to install coolant Temp Sensor so I had to run to the hardware store, and a supplied wire terminal for the negative side of the coil is too small in diameter to place on the factory coil terminal or even the MSD blaster 3 coil I purchased, but not enough to give this less then 5 stars self tuning kicks right in too, I will be posting a video on YouTube as well of my 1971 Chevelle running this 2300 series 2 barrel sniper, also buy an adapter plate for the GM guys for the factory 2 barrel manifolds

This is hands down one of the best things I have Done to my 1967 F-100. Starts and idles like a dream, runs smooth and is way more efficient than my old carburator. The display is pretty cool as well. Controls my electrc fans and shuts off my AC at WOT. This will not be the first EFI system I buy and install from Holley.

Missing parts

Bought and received the master kit. It was missing many parts, had the wrong gasket and it appears one of the holes for the transmission kickdown return spring bracket has no threads. Now I'm down a car and waiting for Holley to send parts out. I really hope this is worth the headache.

I put this bad boy on my 81 Toyota Corolla with a stock 3TC motor and intake manifold by using a series of adapter plates. Summer, winter, wet, dry, this thing starts every time. I’ve driven this over 11k foot mountain passes and through Death Valley in July with no issues at all. It’s the best modification I’ve made to my Corolla. I’m no longer embarrassed by my car not starting due to carb issues. Installation was easy enough. Once it was all plumbed up and I started it for the first time my idle was extremely high. However I hopped on a holly forum and had a fix (adjust idle air controller) within minutes. I love all the stats this thing gives me about my engine. I installed the screen on my sun visor, to keep things stealthy. If I ever want to know my AFR or electrical system voltage all I do is flip down my visor and all those stats and more are there. If you’re on the fence, I recommend this over the other brand. I’ve had no issues and someday I’ll even be able to control my timing with this (currently using the stock vacuum advance). Just do it.

Over ten years ago, I converted my Ford 300 in my Bronco to use a 4bbl carburetor. Ever since then, I've fought with carb after carb, trying to get them to run right. I tried numerous styles from 390cfm, 450, 465, 600cfm, and 650 cfm trying to get one that would drive the way I wanted it to. Most were good, but never great. There was always some hesitation, bog, or other issue I just couldn't get rid of that would make it less than ideal to drive. Eventually it dawned on me that the amount of money I've spent on carbs and tuning parts is almost on par, if not more, than the cost of an EFI unit, and now that the Sniper was an affordable price, I decided to spring for one. After some research, the 2bbl 550-850 was just about the right size. Installation was pretty straight forward. In my case, I used the high pressured fuel system from a later year Bronco, as opposed to aftermarket. Wiring was incredibly simple. Also, as a data nut, I love being able to see my actual engine temperature, fuel flow rate, AFR, and a multitude of other readouts from the hand held gauge. From the first turn of the key, it fired right up! Every day since then has been a pleasure cruise and is, basically, all I've ever wanted when driving my engine. Crisp, clean performance and instant throttle response. My engine is more responsive and powerful than its ever been. I love it!

Built a new custom pick up with a s SBC and installed the sniper. fired up first time allowed me to break in the motor and man does it run good! No carb adjustments to worry about. No to mention the added HP and fuel efficiency. I will never go back to carburetors again.

The right choice for AMC V8

I’ve had my Sniper 2300 long enough now to write an objective review. I installed it on a healthy Jeep 304 with an after market low to midrange cam and HEI. As of now I’m very happy with this product. It starts and runs like a modern engine. It runs very clean with no stumbles or hesitation and very quick throttle response. It feels like I’m getting all the hp and torque this engine can produce. It feels more like a 360! This is a rock crawler Jeep primarily so I’m not actually able to check mpg but it definitely isn’t hard on fuel. I had a professionally built Motorcraft 2150 on this engine before but the Sniper is an upgrade in every way and that’s really saying something. Because of the choke issues I was having with the Motorcraft and certain off road angles effecting performance I decided to go ahead and try out the Sniper. Very glad I did because it put an end to those issues. The Sniper is brilliant in its simplicity. The key to a properly running Sniper is following the instructions to the letter. You should have a good healthy engine to start with and make sure the fuel lines/pump/oxygen sensor are done correctly. Good clean wiring is critical. It will take a little extra effort to set it up the “right way” but it will pay dividends in the end. Mine started immediately and has run better and better ever since. If you’re considering a simplified EFI alternative to your carburetor engine I can definitely recommend the Sniper 2300.

The best upgrade I've done on our boat.

I replaced 2 quadrajets on my 5.7 GM Crusaders and the results are even better than expected. Better hot starts and perfect idles which are essential for docking a 23000 pound twin screw boat. I could never get the engines to stay syncronized before and now I can set them and they stay synced. Next year I will upgrade my distributors to the hyper sparks. This system is worth every penny spent.

Follow the instruction and it’s an easy set up. Great investment if you are looking to do an upgrade on your old Ford truck fuel system. I was able to still use my in cab fuel tank and had a company install a return line on the tank itself. I ran the fuel lines, mounted the pump to the frame, programmed my info into the monitor and my truck fired right up and runs great. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I had a 2 bbl Motorcraft carb on my '67 Mustang 289. I have had cold start issues and I could never get it right. I wanted my wife to drive the car whenever she wanted but I could trust the carb. I ended up getting the Sniper 2300 along with the in-tank fuel pump and what a great set-up. It was simple to install and is start right up every time with ease. I love the monitor and how good the throttle body looks.
