Goodguys shows are always a great time. Between a chill car show atmosphere and a bevy of gorgeous show vehicles, if you can't find something, anything to enjoy at one of their shows, then we don't know what to tell you. To kick off their 2023 season, they decided to start their 40th season right and held their LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals presented by TREMEC at Texas Motor Speedway, just outside of Fort Worth. Were you aware that the Dallas-Fort Worth region of Texas is actually a hotbed of automotive culture? Do yourself a favor if you said "no"...go onto your favorite mapping website, focus your search to within 100 miles of Dallas, and search for racetracks. You'll be surprised how many there actually are. And if there are tracks, there's obviously builders, customizers, painters, and just about everything else that a gearhead could want or need nearby to make your machine run. And we must say, we enjoyed our time there at the inaugural LS Fest Texas in 2022 and look forward to returning again.

Attendees of the Spring Lone Star Nationals got the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities, including a Track Cruise around the big oval and the chance to ride in a Team Texas stock car with a professional diver. A standstill burnout contest and a bevy of vintage dragsters waking up the neighbors with a cacklefest adds to the "ambience" and, of course, there's the Awards Ceremony. Thanks to the lovely early spring weather, you could spend every day of the event walking through the rows, talking with people, and having a great time.
