  • Vehicle Overview

It's been in the fam since new. Bought brand new by grandfather from the dealer lot in '66 from a the Chevy dealer that's still in town. Grandfather bought it for my dad, dad got a hold of it, then it went to my grandfather, then back to dad, then to me. It has the venerable Mighty Mouse, thee Pocket Hercules 327, all with aluminum heads, 268H cam, chromoly pushrods, roller rockers, Weiand high-flow aluminum water pump, I.A.S. shocks, aluminum radiator, THREE ON THE TREE granny shift and a Jet Stage II Quadrajet. The throttle response on the Q-jet is so NICE and extremely responsive. It's great! aluminum intake manifold, Accel H.E.I., and mini hi-torque starter. Parts in the garage are polygraphite front end, tubular control arms, front and rear upgraded sway bars, polygraphite body mounts, 2.5" ceramic ram horns, x-pipe, and dual super turbos that will exit in front of the rear wheels (one exit per side) finished with chrome dual tips. My idea for this is to create a well balanced car. It weighs under 3600 lbs, and my goal is to get it to 3500lbs or lower with the use of fiberglass parts, and "light weight" sport seats to get rid of the bench. I don't want to do anything crazy on the seats, just a couple buckets that look appropriate in the car. I also plan to corner balance the car soon after the fiberglass body parts are installed in order to achieve a 50/50 weight distribution. I don't want a drag car, a top end car, slow cruiser or autocrosser. I want a well sorted, well balanced car. Think M5 or there about. I believe that power means nothing if you don't have balance. You have to be able to USE the car.

    Future Plans

TKX 5-speed, Holley EFI multi-port or Q-jet EFI. I'd really like a multi-port f.i. setup with a Q-jet body just for the sound of the secondary coming online. all while having the efficiencies of a multi-port setup, with the flexibility of the Sniper ECU such as the traction control, boost control, etc. Fiberglass front end parts, hood, panels, etc.
